Located in the heart of downtown Long Beach, Radish is a celebration of the agricultural spirit of the Gulf Coast and the unlikely connection between a charming coastal town and the humble root vegetable that put it on the map. Nineteenth-century farmers took advantage of the L&N Railroad and the opportunity to ship the fruits of their labor northward. The favored Yankee bar snack of the day was a long scarlet radish dipped in luxurious butter and coarse salt. The good times lasted until Prohibition, when local bars shuttered and demand for the Long Beach Red dried up. Today, Radish, led by Chef William Rester and team, embraces time-honored techniques and traditions to create an ingredient-driven menu that showcases what it means to eat and drink in the South.

I reserved a table for 6pm tonight on the patio. The owner decided to have a party on the patio, so there goes my table. No worries we were seated at the candy shop table. Food was great, service (well) was adequate for a table outside the candy shop. Had we been given the table I reserved, and the food was the same quality I would go back weekly. But the waitress didn't know how to serve wine, didn't bring napkins,,,,,and before you freak, My bill was 250$ and I tipped 100$.

Dinner was wonderful as always! The food and service was amazing! The staff and chef were very attentive and checked on us often. Definitely would recommend and visit them again!

We are non locals who visit on occasion and always try to include diner at Radish. The menu is just enough so that the food can be consistently outstanding. Fresh farm to table ensures the highest quality and consistency. The night was extremely busy but cocktails and food along with service was as always exceptional!

Truly a memorable evening for my grandmother and I! Every one was so kind and attentive! And of course THE FOOD!! We both went with the Parmesan crusted Grouper Picatta special & the chocolate chess pie! We raved about it all the way home! I live in NOLA while my grandmother is on the coast and hands down I would drive the 1.5 hrs to dine here again! What a treat!! Thanks again! You all are top tier!

Radish knocked it out the park!!! I live a couple of hours away and booked this on a whim while visiting a friend.. They're still thanking me.. WEEKS LATER!! Don't sleep on this! Wonderful, attentive staff, adorable, intimate setting and absolutely delectable cuisine! Will certainly be back next time I'm in the area!

I cannot say enough about this little place! A true hidden gem. Everything was so perfect from the cocktails to the desert. We will return! Hats off....
