Mediocre sushi at best. Rice is hard and stale, flavorless sushi. Not horrible but mediocre and a slight step above super market sushi. Just don’t go.

I used to frequent the calm, elegant, bustling sushi & Japanese eatery that was here before. Now, the place is jarring, so much red and poor art, and blasting music with a country bent… it is no longer a lovely Japanese experience where I could meet clients or friends. Neither the server nor the host cleaned up or offered to clean up spilled sauce on the table that happened when they sat me, though there were only 3 tables of people in the entire place, at the height of lunch hour. The restaurant & sushi bar that was once so busy was empty, and not as clean overall. I would not eat sushi there. A disappointing experience.

The restaurant is my son’s favorite spot. We took him there for his birthday and we loved it. My husband never had sushi before and he was surprised with the texture and the taste of the food. He was happy with the selection of the restaurant.

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in the door just steps away from Times Square. Quiet, even though the place was busy. The service was fast and friendly. The food was very good, but the torched idea was a bit of a gimmick.

Went after a show, sat at the bar alone, had 2 appetizers for 6 bucks each (happy hour special) and a glass of wine. Great experience.
