Sur la High Street, il vous suffira de repérer un hall tout en verre pour comprendre que vous êtes arrivé au Quod restaurant, le véritable sanctuaire du Hold Bank Hotel, avec son bar et sa terrasse spectaculaire. Cet ancien hall de banque à été transformé par le propriétaire Jeremy Mogford, qui en a fait le plus grand et le plus réputé des restaurants d’Oxford. Son décor est élégant et contemporain. L’espace est harmonieusement optimisé et abrite une incroyable collection d’art contemporain, dont les oeuvres de Sandra Blow, de Craigie Aitchinson et de Gary Hume, qui ornent magnifiquement les murs. La terrasse chauffée est exceptionnelle. Vous pourrez y déguster un délicieux dîner à un très bon rapport qualité/prix, mais aussi profiter tranquillement d’un café, ou savourer un des divers cocktails de l’établissement.

    Take part in the most traditional English pastime of afternoon tea in the heart of Oxford. With its large windows looking onto the famous colleges, Quod is the perfect stopping point during a walk of the city. Enjoy classic egg & cress or ham and mustard sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of champagne. In the summer months tea can be taken on our recently refurbished Italian garden terrace.

    My first time at Oxford Bank restaurant but it certainly won’t be the last. We had a lovely meal in this excellent restaurant in a suburb location. Very many thanks Maurice Baker

    We've eaten at Quod on a few occasions previously. The restaurant is superbly positioned in the heart of Oxford. As an overall experience it is very good indeed. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was 75% full and the noise level was lively without being too loud. The menu is large enough without being overpowering, quality of the food great, service from our server (sorry didn't get his name but he had the Italian accent) was brilliant - attentive without bothering the table. Pricing is pitched about right - mid price but delivering value for the money you spend. No real shortcomings. Good choices including veggie options. Can recommend.

    Lovely relaxed evening. Food was excellent especially the risotto special. The only things stopping a 5-star review is the lack of variety of gin- no orange gin, no pink gin, only strawberry gin; the tables were a little small for 4 people and looking at the tables for 2 in the window, they were quite close together. The service was great, friendly and relaxed

    Delicious food and lovely to have an outside space as well as indoor dining. It would be advantageous to have a permanent ramp for visitors in mobility scooters.

    Excellent service and advice about indoor or outdoor table, and help with getting wifi to work. Food was excellent - my friends said the soup was very nice and hot. My friend from Hong Kong liked the Blenheim Palace spring water. Pork and creamed potatoes was delicious, and so was brownie & salted caramel icecram. Set menu very good value. Excellent choice on both menus.

    Overall disappointed at quality of the food. The special of Cornish Sole was pretty tasteless and not sure how fresh it was. Crab stater was good. Fresh oysters also as starter were tasty but overpriced. Wine list similarly overpriced for the quality of wines served. Service was efficient but not particularly friendly. Second time at Quod in Oxford. Not sure will return for the third.

    The restauant is run like clockwork. Everyone knows their job. Food is delicious. Big thank you to our waitress Vanessa. She gave us good advice about the menu choices, and was also a charming woman.
