Sur la High Street, il vous suffira de repérer un hall tout en verre pour comprendre que vous êtes arrivé au Quod restaurant, le véritable sanctuaire du Hold Bank Hotel, avec son bar et sa terrasse spectaculaire. Cet ancien hall de banque à été transformé par le propriétaire Jeremy Mogford, qui en a fait le plus grand et le plus réputé des restaurants d’Oxford. Son décor est élégant et contemporain. L’espace est harmonieusement optimisé et abrite une incroyable collection d’art contemporain, dont les oeuvres de Sandra Blow, de Craigie Aitchinson et de Gary Hume, qui ornent magnifiquement les murs. La terrasse chauffée est exceptionnelle. Vous pourrez y déguster un délicieux dîner à un très bon rapport qualité/prix, mais aussi profiter tranquillement d’un café, ou savourer un des divers cocktails de l’établissement.

    Take part in the most traditional English pastime of afternoon tea in the heart of Oxford. With its large windows looking onto the famous colleges, Quod is the perfect stopping point during a walk of the city. Enjoy classic egg & cress or ham and mustard sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of champagne. In the summer months tea can be taken on our recently refurbished Italian garden terrace.

    Loved every minute. Waiter was fantastic and paid attention to detail. Was seated very quickly and food was delicious and filling! Would highly recommend

    Our Birthday Lunch at the Quod was excellent for many reasons, the outside terrace was lovely, service was absolutely great, the quality of food was unquestionably divine and the drinks amazing, yes it is a tad more expensive, but it's worth it.

    Excellent service, a delightful and considerate server, directed me to a quiet area which was perfect. Food was excellent, the only criticism would be that we had rather a long wait for our meals. Value wise, I felt £70 for 2 mains, 1 dessert and 1 coffee was rather excessive. Overall my grandson and I had a most enjoyable visit and it only affected 1 pocket not 2.

    My scallops and lamb cutlets were ample and perfectly cooked, and my guest was very happy with his selection from the set lunch menu (I can't remember what he had). I had too many glasses of my Italian red, because it was just too nice, and I didn't want to leave. Our waitress was delightful. Full marks, as usual. NT

    Came back here after 12 years. The food was still good and the terrace was lovely. The service was great but it’s disappointing that they forgot about my special request to put happy birthday for my friend. That’s why I didn’t give it 5*. Will definitely come here more since now I live in Oxford. A big thank you for the waiter who helped us to take a group picture spontaneously.
