At Quetzal, we celebrate regional Mexican cuisine, inspired by traditional flavours and cooking styles, all cooked over a 28 foot-long open fire that runs the span of the hot line.  Traditional moles, sauces and little-known native ingredients are transported to Toronto and infused with the bounty of local Ontario and Canadian produce, for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Quetzal is located at the corner of College & Bathurst, at the edges of four Toronto hotspot neighbourhoods: Little Italy, Kensington Market, Harbord Village, and the Annex.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le Quetzal s'est vu décerner une étoile MICHELIN pour ses délicieuses grillades au feu de bois et ses plats mexicains moins connus, qui vont au-delà des tacos et des tostadas.     Second time here, amazing as always. The staff is extremely helpful and professional, and the food is again always a 10/10 when it comes to fine dining. Highly recommend.

    Excellent service from beginning to finish. The kitchen did an outstanding job! I have never had flavors like this before. The pacing of the tasting menu was perfect and the ambience was just right. Thank you everyone especially Farabi, Louis, Eder and Jack! I already look forward to the next visit!

    From the second you enter the restaurant, all the staff acknowledge you and greet you with a smile. The place is so beautiful and intimate and feels like home while keeping its own unique vibe. We were not super hungry when we got there so decided to keep away from the curated menu and just get a few drinks and the ceviche. The ceviche was so good we couldn’t keep ourselves from ordering more! Their bone marrow and shrimp dish is probably the most decadent meal I’ve ever had in my life! Pair it with a glass of their cava. John and Daniel the two servers I got to know were extremely friendly and professional, they answered all our questions and when I asked them to surprise me with dishes and don’t tell me what I’m about to get they made the night unforgettable! Don’t forget about their coconut cream dessert. Out of this world!

    Incredible meal! We did the tasting menu, but told them what we wanted to try and they ensured we got those items, but some were half portions to allow us to try more dishes. Highly recommend this option

    Simpler construction when compared to its competitors’, but it could be a welcome change to the Michelin-bait “Japanese influence” so endemic these days. The dishes were prepared over open flame, so char was hard to avoid. I am not a fan of the bitter profile, but others might appreciate it. That aside, good execution. The service was personable, and the ambience unique with open flame in the kitchen. With limited ventilation, it gave a smoky smell to the air.

    One of the best meals I have ever had. We had the tasting menu. Was lovely and gave us a taste of a good portion of the menu. The cocktails were delicious too. Outstanding service.

    Absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. The Al Pastor was melt in your mouth goodness. The Newfoundland Scallops are a must have

    The best dining experience I’ve had in Toronto. You’re getting the Michelin experience without the stuffiness of it all. Dishes are so creative and delicious!
