Always a pleasant pub to go too, very good value, we had the two eat for £20 menu, the service was good and the food was good.

Very busy and quite noisy, ordered food at the bar and asked if I could have the barbecue sauce separate as I’m not kean on it , when the food arrived it was drizzled all over with barbecue sauce , I caught the attention of the waiter and he did replace the meal very quickly, bit to noisy for me, we were sat next to a very loud group of people and found it difficult to have a conversation between ourselves, but overall it was a decent meal and they can’t control the noise level .

We both had the turkey Sunday dinner which was excellent, followed by the new dessert Bakewell Tart, it was nice but not as good as we thought it would be, more like a cherry tart , but always pleased with the service we get at the Queens Head .

Often go to the Queens Head for lunch, but this was the first time I’d been for Sunday lunch for a long time, I went with a former work colleague who is not easily impressed, the meal was lovely and she was amazed at the value of the meal, she also loved the sticky toffee pudding, one of the best she’d eaten she said. I would definitely go again on a Sunday as I really enjoyed both the meal and the company.

The team were readily accommodating for our group as we have several people with dietary restrictions.

Great food and drink. Decor was nice and kept well and overall vibe was good. We visited the queen's head for a Sunday lunch food was great and service was quick, with extra roasties, yorkshires and gravy on offer. Would definitely come again.

Friends and I meet regularly for lunch at the Queens Head. We have never had anything other than a pleasurable experience from Ashley and his staff . On one occasion one of our party took ill and the staff were so helpful , calling an ambulance and assisting the paramedics. On a subsequent visit the staff enquired how the casualty was. A caring side which all too often is not seen but should be applauded

Usually we have an enjoyable experience at the Queens Head but on this occasion we ordered the Lamb shank with chips. The veg was cold and my friend's Lamb went very cold quickly. They replaced the meals with warmer food but the lamb was supposed to have a mint and rosemary gravy. The actual gravy didn't taste of mint or rosemary at all and after bringing this to their attention was told it was beef gravy with mint and rosemary. They didn't even offer any mint sauce. We paid an extra £2.00 each for the lamb meal and it was a poor experience. It maybe they didn't have the correct gravy in stock but we should have been made aware of this on ordering our meal.

Food is excellent and great value, service us really good always very helpful and pleasant. I visit regular the food is always hot and tasty.
