The Quay Inn is set right on the the quay at Wareham overlooking the river Frome, and has been welcoming patrons since it was built in 1747.

The Black Rock Grill method of dining uses super heated rock that sears in all the natural juices, flavours and nutrients. This guarantees a taste that is unique to Black Rock Grill dining. For the perfect Black Rock Grill experience, simply cut one or two bite size portions off your chosen meal and lay them on the rock to sear and cook to your liking. All served with rustic chips or jacket potato and a fresh dressed salad.

Always a fabulous meal, good value for money. Friendly staff, some of whom are more experienced than others, but always willing. Delicious puddings after a tasty steak. Thank you 🙏🏻🙌

Nice pub, decent selection of beers and drinks. Food-chicken wings (two types) were good, Quay Burger was good, my deconstructed beef and ale pie was ok, needed a lot of seasoning including brown sauce to make it tasty, the katsu curry was “alright” according to my son. The bao buns were a little bland apparently, could have done with a sauce. It’s a great pub but for £121 (3 starters, 3 main courses and a side salad and buns) felt it was a little overpriced. Would visit again though!

Super meal out whilst staying near Wareham. Fantastic food and setting only marred slightly by a large family group next to us with the kids noisily gaming! Would highly recommend!

Not our first vist, the food was excellent and good size portions. It's not a huge menu but that makes me think they cook everthing fresh. I had the fishcakes which were very tasty not to mention huge. I could only manage one and was given a take away box to put the second one in to take home. Everyone else with me had the steak pie, it was full of meat and very tasty. The staff are always very polite and friendly, it is our usual pub of choice in Wareham

We had 4 breakfasts which were very nice but after we had ordered they had no hash browns which we were looking forward to We were then offered extra fried bread which did not arrive We also.noticed a member of staff leave to get more bread and eggs so.not sure why they would not have got hash browns Disapointing

We had a lovely dining experience. The young lady behind the bar was very, polite, friendly and efficient. The food was good and they had an excellent selection of ciders on offer.

Been here on quite a few occasions and the food was exceptional however this time the steak was extremely grisly and the pepper sauce very watery not what we are used to!
