My husband and I went to Quanto Basta for dinner and it was delightful! The environment is very intimate and perfect for date night. I ordered the shrimp scampi risotto and my husband got the baked ziti and both were delicious. The drink selection is also amazing and everything was great. Definitely recommend for a quality italian dinner.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful dinner! All the staff there are super friendly and helpful with recommendations on the menu. We definitely recommend the short rib and the chicken marsala! 💕

The food was outstanding. We shared the mussels, perfectly prepared. Shared a pizza, the best I have had in Wilmington, had the Pescatore for entree, excellent! Shared the olive oil cake for dessert - delicious. They also make a great espresso martini. Just a perfect experience

The restaurant is beautiful and the service is impeccable. Food prices are high, so I expect quality food. Unfortunately, Quanto Basta missed the mark. Two of us were served “seared tuna” that had been previously frozen. It was gray and hard around the edges. The server acknowledged that the tuna had been frozen and changed it up for 4 shrimp. NOT what I wanted and not what I paid for. Not sure I’m going back.

The food was outstanding. Portion was normal sized. Not so huge you couldn’t finish. Our waitress Katie was very good. A great dinner and experience.

I was really wanting this restaurant to be top notch but, my wife and I were very disappointed. First, we felt rushed and being sold on upgrades with our server. It was akin to talking to a scripted call center rep. Secondly, the food was underwhelming. My scampi dish only had 4 medium sized shrimp, the risotto was under cooked and was totally void of flavor. My wife's described her eggplant parm as frozen dinner quality. And finally for future guest, I booked a later reservation since no slots were available between 6:30 and 8:00, usually a good sign of a great establishment. When we arrived, 30 minutes early to visit the bar, they were able to immediately seat us and there was ample open seating throughout the restaurant.

I have been to Quanto Basta on many occasions as I love the ambience. I made a recent reservation for a special birthday celebration and made a request for the back room on the window line. When I arrived, the host (male) went to seat us at a small table in the corner of the bar area next to a full and loud communal hightop of 10+ people. I nicely reminded the host (male) again about my table request and was told the back room was closed on Mondays? Not sure why I wasn't appraised when I made my reservation. The host seemed put out that I asked for a different table and escorted me to another area - this time to a table in an undesirable location and hard wooden chairs. I nicely asked if we could sit at the empty booth table accross from it with the cushioned chairs. There were several similar booth empty in the same area. I was told "No, they are all reserved." ?? It was a Monday night and definitely not busy. It ended up that this booth table and none of the others were occupied for the entire next 2 hours. When our server came, I finally asked if it was possible to move and she happily said, "certainly" and moved us. That saved the night! She was a fabulous server and we ended up having a lovely dinner. If this was the first time I had experienced non-customer service friendly hosts, it would be one thing...but I actually stopped going to Quanto Basta because of repeated similar experiences. I mistakingly decided to give them another try. While I understand restaraunts can not always accommodate special requests, their hosts typically and pleasantly make an effort to find a seating solution. As the first impression to its restaurant, I would think Quanto Basta would look to improve it's hiring and training of hosts!
