At Pythouse Kitchen Garden, you'll find an idyllic atmosphere in which to enjoy fantastic food. We offer covered outdoor seating in our glorious garden and indoor seating in the conservatory and potting shed. Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a lunchtime destination only at present.

Head chef Darren Broom's passion lies in producing food with an unmistakable sense of terroir. For Darren, provenance is not just the backstory to his ingredients, it’s everywhere in the look, feel and taste of his food.

We are keen to champion our own produce first and foremost, providing guests with a unique and ever-changing insight into the seasons. We work closely with the garden team to manage and maintain the garden and to deliver a programme of regeneration and sustainability.

Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a private party paradise. You can lose yourself in magical nature and feast on its treasures as they grow around you. The fruit and vegetables are grown solely for you and your guests and harvested on the day of your celebration. The abundant flowers, specimen trees and 18th Century architecture form a heavenly backdrop. Parties at PKG are invariably colourful, chic and fun. From unique seasonal weddings with a homegrown twist, to glamorous, formal sit-down dinners, the walled garden provides for all.

Everything was perfect. From the minute we walked in the staff greeted us with smiles and continued to do so through the meal. The decor is perfect for the setting and The food was so, so delicious. Definitely will be returning.

Superb service and good. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected/ uncooked very large birthday party making conversation ate our table not easy. We didn’t relocate to an outside table as a strong breeze was blowing away the warmth from the heaters! Hover, it’s an excellent place and we hope to visit again.

We went to the Autumn Solstice evening, where we shared a long table with 22 other guests. The food was outstanding and the accompanying wine served generously. The team there are fantastic making us very welcome and providing a warm and convivial service .We will be returning

The Autumn Equinox Long-Table Garden Gathering was an absolutely lovely evening. The beautifully set tables, the delicious food, and the excellent service created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The live music added a perfect touch, especially being surrounded by the stunning garden setting. I highly recommend this experience and will definitely be returning for future events.

We had a fantastic evening! The chef had carefully curated the menu with delicious local and home grown produce. The staff were amazing and went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful time.

Enjoyed a fabulous evening at Pythouse. Gorgeous venue, lovely ambience, delicious food, good wine, and great background musicians and music. Loved it all and will go back!

Excellent surroundings, great ambiance. Lovely place to eat especially in good weather when you can eat in the outdoor eating area. Limited but good menu. Food was interesting and tasty if a little on the cool side by the time it reached the table Unfortunately, there was a large live bug in one of the starters , but I guess when you are eating in a garden surrounding this is not unexpected . The starter was quickly replaced but we didn’t get any concession on the bill unfortunately. That said, even though for us it was an hours drive away, we had a super afternoon and will definitely be going back, it is a unique experience, taking a walk around the gardens after lunch, and a great place to eat. The staff were lovely, you can take your dog along too. Thank you see you next time

I love this place and we go approx twice a year. Only because of the distance from home but also so it remains "special". The garden is a delight whatever season you visit. The menu accommodates all parties and is always interesting and a twist different. I brought my English friend who now lives in Australia and she said it was simply the best food she'd had. She loved the walled garden too- it made her a bit homesick. Great value for the standard and quality and quantity of food. Excellent drink choices especially their Sprigster range. Highly recommend 👌
