At Pythouse Kitchen Garden, you'll find an idyllic atmosphere in which to enjoy fantastic food. We offer covered outdoor seating in our glorious garden and indoor seating in the conservatory and potting shed. Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a lunchtime destination only at present.

Head chef Darren Broom's passion lies in producing food with an unmistakable sense of terroir. For Darren, provenance is not just the backstory to his ingredients, it’s everywhere in the look, feel and taste of his food.

We are keen to champion our own produce first and foremost, providing guests with a unique and ever-changing insight into the seasons. We work closely with the garden team to manage and maintain the garden and to deliver a programme of regeneration and sustainability.

Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a private party paradise. You can lose yourself in magical nature and feast on its treasures as they grow around you. The fruit and vegetables are grown solely for you and your guests and harvested on the day of your celebration. The abundant flowers, specimen trees and 18th Century architecture form a heavenly backdrop. Parties at PKG are invariably colourful, chic and fun. From unique seasonal weddings with a homegrown twist, to glamorous, formal sit-down dinners, the walled garden provides for all.

This is an outstanding place to enjoy a quiet lunch in very beautiful surroundings. We will certainly be visiting again.

We had a really lovely leisurely Sunday lunch with family. The food was wholesome and tasty, the service excellent and all served in beautiful peaceful surroundings.

A lovely Summers day which showed off this venue to its very best. Dinning outside in the marquee was so beautiful in the walled garden. The venison and pork mains were very tasty and a good size The home garden gave the veg a freshness and flavour that is not often available. The sweets were also very tasty. Only reservation was wine list.Although a good selection the cheapest was £36 a bottle making for a meal that felt a bit overpriced.

Our second visit to the Pythouse restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the lunch in a most delightful setting with excellent service and food. Thank you all.

The staff were very welcoming, providing a birthday card, changing our seating to inside because the weather wasn't good. Delicious food, beautifully cooked...they did small portions for children, though a less sophisticated menu for children would be good.

We booked at the last minute but managed to get a table. Not been here before but were very taken with the whole experience and loved this restaurant. We loved the main course cooked over an open fire with a different take on vegetables. It's someway from where we live, but we hope to return for special occasions as it is in a beautiful situation in glorious countryside. It was lovely to walk around the kitchen garden after our meal.
