At Pythouse Kitchen Garden, you'll find an idyllic atmosphere in which to enjoy fantastic food. We offer covered outdoor seating in our glorious garden and indoor seating in the conservatory and potting shed. Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a lunchtime destination only at present.

Head chef Darren Broom's passion lies in producing food with an unmistakable sense of terroir. For Darren, provenance is not just the backstory to his ingredients, it’s everywhere in the look, feel and taste of his food.

We are keen to champion our own produce first and foremost, providing guests with a unique and ever-changing insight into the seasons. We work closely with the garden team to manage and maintain the garden and to deliver a programme of regeneration and sustainability.

    Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a private party paradise. You can lose yourself in magical nature and feast on its treasures as they grow around you. The fruit and vegetables are grown solely for you and your guests and harvested on the day of your celebration. The abundant flowers, specimen trees and 18th Century architecture form a heavenly backdrop. Parties at PKG are invariably colourful, chic and fun.                             Fourth or fifth time here. Standards never drop. Autumn menu is my favourite but it's a tough field because it's consistently excellent. Had top Guinea fowl and delicious leeks with a padron pepper puree. Service so charming and knowledgeable but still relaxed.

                            The food was delicious exceptionally good quality, very friendly service, lovely peaceful environment, beautiful garden to walk round, where you can see all the vegetables and fruits they serve you in the restaurant.

                            When booking we were unaware that there was only a set menu of 3 courses for £37.50 One of our party is a Type 1 Diabetic and the others were not expecting to eat that amount or pay that amount. What we had was delicious and the service was very friendly. The gardens, even at this time of the year are inspiring.

                            This was one of the best out of at least ten meals we’ve savoured every morsel of at the Pythouse over the years. Staggeringly good food, sparkly and attentive and personal service, friendly and lovely. Atmosphere terrific, cosy and classy and country in an unpretentious but serious-contender-type-way. This restaurant gets better with time, which is no mean feat as it started nigh on perfect. I found the Pythouse through Giles Coren’s review in The Times which pretty much suggested it was pretty much perfect. The manager is extraordinary, the other staff are also natural and professional and warm. The chef is proper talent. The price is beyond good value: I’ve eaten better here than for twice the price elsewhere. Nothing but nothing to improve upon here.
