There are almost three hundred year’s of stories buried in our walls.
Once the host to visiting heads of state, sea admirals, noblemen, merchants and seafarers, the Purty Kitchen, Dun Laoghaire’s oldest surviving premises, is today continuing a rich tradition in the social history of the Dublin licensed trade. We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant kitchen, bar and live event loft.

What another amazing experience,the food was delicious and the service was outstanding.In particular I would like to say a special thanks to Niza who always takes care of us.She is so polite and good humoured that is infectious and makes one’s experience so memorable.I requested a skinny flat white coffee,she informed me they do not have low fat milk,however such was her kindness Niza popped into the Circle K next door and got the low fat milk. That’s what I call service! Thank you Niza

A going away party for a family of five, everything was wonderful. Our server Niza is absolutely world class, friendly, helpful and so much fun. We were here before and she was one of the main reasons we came back - just fab! And the food was wonderful, calamari, tuna tartare and prawn starters were excellent. Main courses of steak, halibut, burger and the cauliflower steak were all devoured and the desserts were all good - brownies (maybe a little too rich?), sticky toffee pudding and passion fruit crumble were very good. Thank you, a poignant night was made very special.

Really fantastic restaurant . We go here for family occasions , like birthdays, with grandparents and kids (9 and 7years). The staff are very friendly and helpful (especially Niza) and the menu for both adults and children is varied and great value for money. We’ll be back again .. many times

Always an enjoyable dining experience. Could have done without the distraction of the Ireland England Match being on the TV screens (sound muted) which nobobody was watching.

Atmosphere was lovely. Food was only ok and quite expensive. The drinks were nice but two of our cocktails were only half full in the cocktail glass which was disappointing. Service was good.

We enjoyed dinner in the Purty, food and service is consistently good here. Loved the outdoor area which had a lovely atmosphere.
