The Puckett’s roots go way back to the 1950s, and a little grocery store in the village of Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. Ever since then, we’ve been focused on providing friends new and old with great food and Southern hospitality. When it comes down to it, Puckett’s is a community kitchen, with live pickin’ performances just a few feet from your table. Authentic comfort food—barbecue smoked slow ‘n’ low over cherry wood, the home-cooked sides, even a few upscale dishes—is what Puckett’s aims for you to remember! We were super bummed about our first experience at Pucketts Murfreesboro. We brought our extended family and raved about how great Pucketts is. We have been to 3 other Pucketts locations (Franklin, Nashville, and Columbia) and LOVED the food, ambiance and experience. The food in the Murfreesboro location had half the portion, was delivered cold and just didn’t taste as good. Not only that, the beer was flat and skunky. The service was so slow it took us over an hour to get our food. The band was great though! Hopefully, things improve there but until then, we will stick to the other locations.

Took us 20 minutes to get waited on. They were out of pork, which is why you go to Puckett’s. Food arrived 44 minutes later and was ice cold. We sent back to kitchen and they just reheated in microwave. Fries came out limp. Had to ask for manager who comped our food, but it was definitely a bad experience with visiting guests.

I would skip. Absent management - understaffed or poorly run kitchen. Dined Sunday for breakfast turned into lunch, since we waited 1.5 hours from order to receiving our food. We felt bad for the waitress but we never saw a manager once. The kitchen was doing one order a time, we won't return there are better options. Restaurant was never completely full and was nearly empty when we left. When the food did arrive half the items (potatoes and bacon) were cold, only thing hot were the eggs, and one order was wrong, but after that wait we could not send it back.

We had a 10:30 reservation and arrived at 10:15 for Father's Day brunch--my husband chose Puckett's from a few options in Murfreesboro, where we were visiting our teenage son at his summer program. We got our food at 11:36. We were "warned" they were on a 45 minute wait from the time of order (yet they continued to take more tables?)--I'm not sure if the kitchen quit on them or what? During the hour-plus wait, the server (who was very nice, but what could she do?) just kept telling us how many tickets were ahead of us. I asked if we could get some biscuits or something to eat while we waited (all of our entrees came with a biscuit--maybe we could just have them early)--and she said she would have to charge us for them. I said never mind. When we finally got our food--more than an hour after we had ordered--we had to inhale it because we had to have my son back to school by noon. It certainly didn't make for a very relaxing Father's Day.

Went here on fathers day and had reservations at 930. We sat for maybe 10 minutes before anyone came over. We ordered the cinnamon roll skillet, but then he came back and said they were out. We waited at least an hour for our food. We were told it would "be right out" a few times....but it wasn't. Tables were being seated around us, but it was clear they had to wait just as long as we did. Eventually we found out they were short staffed in the kitchen - but had we known this initially, we never would have stayed. The food was good (except for my kids' eggs, which they did remake)...but we won't go back to chance this happening again.

We had 8 am reservations on Father's Day. We arrived in time. The host still had her purse on and looked extremely sleepy. We sat on time. Immediately, seen a server get upset with the host that she was double sat. There were maybe 8 tables with dinners at this time, not a full house. So they gave us another server. He was friendly by time he arrived to take our drink and food order. We ordered all at the same time by maybe 8:15 am. At 9 we have not received our food. We asked our server. He stated out of their control the kitchen is behind. We received our food at 9:05. He states the manager was on the line making the food. Seemed staffed well in the front of the house. Judging by it taking so long to make the food, back of house needs a revamp on staff.

It may have been an off night for Pucketts. Usually it is fantastic - great service, great food. Last night hopefully was an exception. We sat at our table for at least 15 minutes without anyone even coming to greet us or take drink orders. My husband had to go to the bar and ask if we even had a server for our table. Once someone came and took our drink orders, we had high hopes. Our server promptly brought our drinks and then took our food orders. Then we waited...and waited.... it took seemingly forever for our food to come out. We were at our table for over an hour before we got our food. When it did come out, it was luke warm, the brisket on the sliders was dry & seemed like it had been sitting all day. We requested crispy fries and they were very much not crispy. One in our party ordered a side salad and we had to remind our server to bring that part out. Pucketts is one of my favorite restaurants, so i am very much hoping this was just an off night & not a sign of how things are going to be.
