Puckett’s has a long history dating back to the 1950s when it started as a small grocery store in Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. Since then, our focus has been on offering excellent food and Southern hospitality to both new and longtime friends. With six restaurants now, our commitment to this goal remains unwavering. Puckett’s is renowned for featuring live, local music and serving beloved Southern dishes such as meat-and-three options and our famous slow-smoked BBQ in a relaxed, homely setting. The food was very bland and the overall meal took way longer than necessary. The portions were also small compared to the price for them. One of us got the entree portion of mac and cheese and another got the side… which do you think had more mac and cheese ( not the entree that was $10+ more). We all left underwhelmed or upset and will not be returning.

It seems this location is still trying to figure things out. The host staff was nice, but there seemed to be a lot of confusion. Our reservation was handled well, though between check-in and getting seated the hi-top table confirmed at check-in was forgotten and we were seated in a booth which wasn’t convenient for the member of our party in a walking cast. Our waitress was wonderful! Though orders were taking a while she repeatedly checked in on us and was very nice. The brisket was a solid “meh”, my plate containing more fat than meat. But hey, that’s good fat, right? It tasted fine. It’s a nice spot and I’m sure the brand will get things figured out. While underwhelming, I would still give them another try sometime.

Service was slow, we waited about 15 mins to be greeted or even acknowledged by any staff. Our server stated that she didn’t even see that we had been sat there (mind you we were sat by a host and had made a reservation) the restaurant itself was not busy and it seemed as thought there was plenty of people working. We ordered our food and it came out so quickly it was off putting, our kids had chicken tenders and fries, very basic. They ate it no complaints. My husband ordered fried chicken, it came out soggy and bland. He ate it, it was fine. I ordered a bbq brisket small salad and a side of sweet potato fries. Salad was fine, basic but tasted nice. Sweet potato fries never came. We ordered a bread pudding to go, it was hard. All and all we were left with the feeling of mediocre dining experience that was over priced. Service was sub par but she was friendly. Probably won’t be back.

We enjoyed our time there, but feel those preparing the food need to keep to the items on the menu. What stated caramelized onions was presented as raw onions. We appreciate our server taking this information.

Place was not terribly busy for early dinner at 4pm, so it was good time to go. Live music wasn't bad (though it was fill-in for act that was running late). This location is nice - plenty of space, very clean and plenty of nice staff on hand. The brisket was ok, a bit fatty for my taste, fries had been sitting out (not fresh). The "spicy" BBQ sauce had nice flavor, but could use a bit more heat. Berry tea is great, though hope they get into habit of straining out seeds and chunky bits of Blackberry - my family and I are not fond of chewing on sweet tea. I'd return to try out other menu items, especially breakfast.
