Puckett’s roots stretch way back to the 1950's and a little grocery store in the village of Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. Ever since then we’ve been focused on providing friends, new and old, with great food and Southern hospitality. Six restaurants later, that aim still rings true. Puckett’s has built a name on hosting live, local musical acts and serving Southern staples. Authentic comfort food classics, like the meat & 3 specials and our famous slow-smoked BBQ, in a laid-back and downhome atmosphere is what we aim for you to remember. My daughter and I were there with her triplets and they loved, as did we. Two had the kid's plate with grilled cheese and French fries and one had the kid's hamburger plate with French fries. Their mom and I shared the Whiskey Platter with an extra grilled chicken breast and an extra blackened chicken breast. Oh my! The whole platter was delicious with the broccoli and they swapped the smashed sweet potatoes for the fried sweet potatoes. We also shared two "Starters," which were both wonderful: Pimento Cheese Bites and Fried Green Beans! We will eat there again and again!

We enjoyed a great visit with family and great food at Puckett’s. We went for Sunday lunch and everything was very good. Pimento cheese bites for appetizers were a big hit. Some got BBQ plates , some enjoyed chicken sandwiches and I got the brisket sandwich. Everything was well cooked, good flavor and good portions. This won’t be our last visit to Puckett’s. Making reservations really helped for our larger group.

Friendly atmosphere and pleasant environment. Food was wonderful! Glad that we only have to travel an hour to this wonderful restaurant!

The pineapple moonshine margarita was AMAZING The sweet potato fries were burned and I can't even believe they served them to us like that, but we politely asked them to remake them and they quickly and happily brought us more that weren't burned. The AC pipes in the ceiling were dripping with condensation. They moved all our tables over after people kept having water drops hit them in the head. But no harm no foul. We enjoyed the live music. Will return for live music and that pineapple moonshine margarita.

Everyone was super kind and helpful, from the host up front, to our server, to the manager. Food was fresh and timely and even though we had a party of six, our server kept our tea and water glasses filled. We enjoyed our lunch at Puckett’s, and we will return.

Made a reservation. We were seating promptly. The restaurant was at half capacity. We ordered a nachos appetizer first. It came out cold, with few toppings. It was basically eating soggy tortilla chips with bbq sauce on them. It was not served with the smoked salsa either. We were very disappointed. We were delivered no napkins for silverware so my husband got some. He ordered a ribeye, medium, baked beans and mashed potatoes with white gravy. His steak was white when it arrived. It was like rubber and inedible. The baked beans were clearly canned and the mashed potatoes did not come with gravy. Overall his food was so bad he could not eat any of it. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes with brown gravy and the mac n cheese. My chicken was soggy and when I cut into it the chicken was yellow in color. I had to spit it out. The mashed potatoes were covered in so much brown gravy that you couldn’t taste any actual mashed potatoes. The mac n cheese was slimy with no taste. We ended up not being able to eat any of the food, after driving over an hour to Cullman to come try it out. We paid and went to another restaurant in Cullman to be able to actually eat. The waitress was sweet but very slow service.

Arrived early for our reservation, but were seated promptly as they had several open tables. Our server greeted us quickly, took our coffee or and returned quickly. Once we ordered our food, it was served promptly, as ordered and piping hot! An overall good experience.

It was Mother’s day and they were not prepared. We were seated at our reservation time however we did not receive our appetizers for almost 40 minutes. The entire meal was almost took 2 hours. Staff was working hard the manager was obviously flustered and blamed the grill when he seated us. Also food on the menu has not been available for months according to our server. The food itself was yummy when it was delivered but part of our party received cold food.
