Founded in the fifties, people have been congregating at Puckett's for over half a century. We've updated a bit, added some recipes from our family and friends, and thrown in some great live music. But it's still Puckett's Grocery... nothing too fancy, but everything good. It's where the locals go for real food, real people and real fun.

Excellent Tennessee comfort food, well prepared and served by an unfailingly, pleasant and helpful staff. And ample: the individual brisket and pulled pork plates were enough to feed 2 to 3 people, and one order of strawberry cobbler topped with ice cream made at the parlor next-door was enough for our table of five! There is live music most days until 730. This is by far the best restaurant in Columbia, and there is enough on the menu so that we were able to come back for a second meal and try complete different things.

The kitchen fell behind and we waited about 40 minutes for our food, but it was very good and the people were very nice

The pimento cheese poppers were a great appetizer. We split the southern fried chicken dinner and ordered an additional side of potato salad. The chicken was delicious but we both like dark meat and it only comes mixed with light and dark. It still was delicious. The service was excellent. The live entertainment was fantastic as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Puckett's Columbia is a great place to enjoy a good meal, fun atmosphere, and some very good live music. Service is always top notch. Over the last few years prices have increased and some portion sizes reduced, but that's unfortunately the story for most restaurants. Puckett's Columbia remains a good value compared to competitors. If you're going to try ONE restaurant in Columbia, this should be it!
