As the name suggests, P.S. Steak was established to continue the story of the historic space that was once famed La Belle Vie. As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities.
The restaurant features an elevated yet accessible seasonal menu, along with a variety of cuts of meat, dry aged in a display case.
The lounge has been given a modern makeover with chic furniture and marble table tops. A selection of living floor plants divides tables to create intimate seating. Bringing warmth to the room, the bar and adjacent fireplace keeps guests cozied up to a menu of progressive cocktails.

Excellent. Back round music was different for the surrounding. Didn’t go with the atmosphere they have created

Delicious food, elegant surroundings and gracious staff. This place has old-school opulence, without being pretentious. The valet service to park your car is a much appreciated feature. The choice of entrees allowed one to opt for something either more budget oriented or extravagant. If you want a fine dining experience, you would be hard pressed to find better in the TC market.

Cozy space, great service, delicious meal. Hits were the bone in ribeye, lamb chops and squash. Misses were the unripe fruit with the foie app, and the fries were fine but nothing special. Cocktails were fantastic. The biggest miss was the 30+ minute wait past our reservation time, with an offer of a round of waters. Might have considered comping a round of drinks. This was likely a hostess miss rather than a bartender miss.

The one thing that always gets me at steak houses is why is their steak not flavorful. Side dishes were excellent. Mushrooms were great, potatoes are a must!

Historic building. Nice atmosphere. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Longer than usual wait between drinks and courses. And the restaurant and bar in the main room were not busy. Salad course and entree's came out at the same time after requesting coursed relaxed dining. Overall, good but is pricey.

This was our first time at PS Steak and it did not disappoint. Our service was top notch and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Start to finish the food and service are excellent. We have to pay for a sitter so any restaurant we go to has to be worth it. PS Steak is my favorite place in the Cities.

Our server, Madison was amazing. I am a steak-eater, and my guest is a vegetarian. We were able to put together a filling and gourmet meal of multiple appetizers, entrees and desserts that fit the bill perfectly! The Denver Steak and the Aligot in particular were out of this world. The chocolate cake was impressive, but the chocolate sundae was a great way to wrap up our evening! The team was able to accommodate our request for a quiet, comfortable both. Both my guest and I commented on how unique and classy the interior was, the service, from seating, bar service, to valet was outstanding. P.S. Steak is not a "on the cheap" evening out, but for the experience, quality of service and food it is a bargain!
