    Come experience an abridged version of Chef Andrew Zimmerman's popular Chef's Menu before enjoying a night at the theater! In collaboration with Chicago's vibrant theater community, we bring you the best way to enjoy Proxi in a shorter format to allow for a quick dinner before a show. The menu features a first course of sharables for the table, followed by a choice entree course, and family style dessert, all highlighting our kitchen team's globe-trotting, award-winning style. Available Thursday through Saturday, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for your pre-theater experience.

    excellent experience. Very nice ambiance and very attentive service. Would highly recommend visitin Proxi and try the chefs recommendation on the menu. 4 course meal with delicious dishes and fluid service to result in a top notch fine dining experience. Will definitely be coming here again. P.S. The lamb is to die for. Highly recommend lamb skewers/ lamb shoulder

    You know this place is legit once you see the chefs’ names on the menu along with pan-Asian multi-course meal options and crafty cocktails. The foods here blew my mind with creative fine-dining grade options.

    What can we say…our favorite go to Chicago date night and place to share with friends. The menu hides the excitement that arrives with every dish. Like Christmas morning each course is a gift of flavors and visual pleasure. The now simple menu speeds our choices (it was always so hard to choose from the earlier menu…as we wanted to try everything.) After 4 courses we ended with the 20oz bone-in ribeye. Best steak in Chicago. See you again soon.

    Our server was overwhelmed. At one point he had 21 guests all at once. Managers walking around at a snails pace as if nothing was happening. Server never checked in during first course. Finally checked in at end of second course. Share plates were not changed in between courses. We poured our own waters until there was none left in our bottle and had to ask for more. We had the Hawaiian Bread (good), scallops (some grit) and elote (delish). We had the banana leaf wrapped bass (delish), short rib (the ribs were much better without all the sauces and accoutrements they were served with) NY Strip (very good) potato (underwhelming), broccolini (super delish) a curry dish (very good), coconut rice (good). For dessert we had churros and table side s’mores (bit underwhelming and hokie). Space is pretty. Kitchen staff super in charge. No stress can n anyone’s face. Head down working. Decent pacing. Music, energy, lighting and temp all good. Our Busser was the best part of service. He was a real standout that made us feel hospitable. Am I rushing back, no. The food was good. Some standouts some duds. The service lowered the entire experience unfortunately.
