Come experience an abridged version of Chef Andrew Zimmerman's popular Chef's Menu before enjoying a night at the theater! In collaboration with Chicago's vibrant theater community, we bring you the best way to enjoy Proxi in a shorter format to allow for a quick dinner before a show. The menu features a first course of sharables for the table, followed by a choice entree course, and family style dessert, all highlighting our kitchen team's globe-trotting, award-winning style. Available Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for your pre-theater experience.

We love the restaurant, especially the variety of different foods that were available. Four of the five of us ate oysters, which were fabulous, as was everything else we tried. I have other friends who had recommended this restaurant, and they were delighted to hear that we enjoyed it because it’s one of their favorites.

The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The cocktails were also fabulous. Favorite plates were the crudo and beef tartare. Least favorite was the Branzino which was difficult to eat and the fried preparation wasn’t our favorite.

We had the pre-theater menu and our food was delicious - perfect amount of food and timing was spot on - we will be back!

As always, the food was delicious with many unique and interesting flavors. Service was outstanding. Staff was very accommodating to one guest with allergies. Don’t miss this restaurant!

We had the pre theater fixed menu everything was incredible. Definitely a great value for what you get I would highly recommend.

We did the tasting menu and added a few items from the core menu. We were really impressed with the wine and food selection - everything we had was incredible. I don't typically like mushrooms but someone at our table loves them and we ordered them off the menu and they were the best mushrooms I have ever had. Other highlights from the tasting menu included the soup, pork, and both desserts.
