It was our first time to Provence. BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY AND RESTAURANT. Date night or anniversary - special. Our server was polite and professional. It was Sunday night of Labor Day weekend to likely staff was tight. Things moved slowly. There was a large party in a separate room (nice room for a gathering of I am guessing not more than 16 or 18; also beautiful. It is Prix Fix but unlike other places you can do starter and main and skip desert which is our approach. I had the mushroom french onion soup and my lady the escargot. The latter was very different. Baked in a metal baking dish, with thin gruyere on top and without the usual excess butter and garlic. The onion soup likewise was less salty and lighter than most, but the onion flavor was sweet and really, is there a polite way to handle all that gooey, stringy, Gruyere cheese! Delicious. Slightly smaller portion than most FO Soups. Main was a Duck Confit, leg and thigh portion, atop a most interesting 'salad' of sliced cabbage, potato, some other greens, and pork belly finely diced for salt and flavor. Really well done. The lady had the grilled Char on top of a fine pastini with fresh peas. Fish was very fresh and un-fishy. We enjoyed the meal and will go back. You do feel like you have transitioned to Provence! G

It was our first visit to Provence. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was delicious. It’s great for a special occasion. We will return.

Lovely evening at the Provence in CMCH. Beautiful venue, exceptional menu and excellent attentive staff. The lobster ravioli appetizer was delicious and our main courses - the duck, seared scallops and braised beef ribs - were all excellent. The special dessert, key lime cheesecake, accompanied by french press coffees was the perfect ending. Our servers, Carlo and Peter, were delightful. Highly recommended.

I had been here earlier this year and wasn't thrilled with the service, but the food was so good, I thought I should give it another try. This time, the food and the service were fantastic. I would definitely recommend coming to The Provence for the brunch.

A beautiful place ---two of us for dinner. The food was good but one dinner was not hot when served---in fact, barely warm. I would have sent it back but waitress didn't come back in a timely way so I just finally just started eating! They gave a free dessert but I don't think that made up for barely warmed entree!

Even though it’s an upscale restaurant some of the items are overpriced. The bread basket for $9 consists of 4 small rolls. The French press coffee was a small cup at best. The entrees come with very small portions for the sides. The potato au gratin were overcooked and dry. Everything is good but overpriced. Expect to spend a minimum of around $110 per person.

The flexible 2, 3 & 4 course pre-fix options made it easy to order all of the goodies we wanted to try! Food was phenomenal! Will absolutely go again & again!

What a disappointment! It took me a day to think about this review, because we were so upset with the meal. After hearing so many great things about Provence, we were excited for a wonderful dining experience. Unfortunately, the latest reviews seem to bear some truth- with the exception of one dish, the oysters, everything was sub-par. The sourdough bread with the onion soup was terrible white bread, the beet salad was salad greens with four thin slices of beets. The red fish (substituted for the trout) was dry, the poussin had a sauce that was unbearably salty. The vegetables which accompanied many of the dishes were out of season and looked as though they came from acme. Finally, the crème brûlée was in a large, shallow dish which created a thick, overcooked pudding instead of a smooth crème. The strawberries (again, out of season and white on the inside) should have been substituted for a berry in season. For a 3 course meal at $75 pp, with a lovely setting and wonderful waitstaff, we expected much better. Not worth the drive, not worth the price.
