Disappointing. Went for brunch and 3 of our party ordered the egg Benedict dish. None of the eggs were poached (all grossly overcooked). 2 of the party never received the bacon we ordered (given sausage instead). Our waitress, while very nice, was inattentive and didn’t check back so we ate the dish with the hard boiled eggs. We were practically finished before she checked back. She comped us a free dessert and deleted the upcharge, but based on this experience I won’t be coming back. Not impressed!

Once again we had an outstanding meal at Provence. Between French onion soup, escargot, lemon asparagus risotto, duck leg confit, keylime cheesecake, and espresso creme brulee, it was a magnificent dining experience. Natalia, our server, was very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. She attend to our very need. We highly recommend dining here.

Disappointing. We have been here in the past and it was fantastic. This time the food was not good. Overly salted. Frozen overcooked vegetables. Overcooked fish. Even the $9 breadbasket we had to send back because the inside was still frozen! They replaced it but didn’t take it off the bill.

While the restaurant itself was pretty and charming, the “French “ menu was a bit lacking and not quite original. French onion soup, pâté, escargots, and thrown in French words made the menu stereotypical. Our server, while nice, described the trout as being less fishy than salmon and had to dumb down some of the offerings. I bit strange. The biegnets were very dense but the presentation was nice. A couple in our room was very loud and laughing obviously during our meal. In a small room, it was difficult to enjoy our conversation over the constant high pitched laughing. We may give the restaurant another chance another time, but not for a long time.

Overall amazing as noted by the choice of stars. Each bite was delicious but the foie gras was exceptional. We each had the lobster ravioli as well and the sauce makes you want to lick the bowl. Early on, we had the conservatory to ourselves. When a second table of people were seated in the same room, it became quite noisy. The service and value were astonishingly good. We chose to bring our own wine. We appreciate that there is not a corkage fee. We also appreciated the opportunity to choose how to arrange courses. It helped us get everything we wanted. We will be back

Decided to give the restaurant a second chance. First time was very disappointing. Unfortunately this time was even worse! Same menu as spring, The chef has no idea how to put ingredients together. Can’t even make a classic dish like steak au poivre, what a shame. This was the best restaurant in Cape May, not any more. Hope they get it together and bring back the glory, it is a beautiful place and good concept.

Beautiful venue in the charming town of Cape May Courthouse. We were dining for a special occasion and this was the perfect place to celebrate. The food was excellent. Do know it is a pre-fixe so you choose 2 course, 3 course or 4 course however you can choose from the entire menu and you can pick 3 appetizers and a dessert if you want. It was perfect for us. I had a starter, main and a dessert, my partner had 2 appetizers a main and a dessert. It was not too much food. Just right on the portions. I would recommend the Lemon Asparagus Risotto!! So good.
