Daily Tea Service at Proper Grit is a one-of-a-kind experience that includes a wonderful selection of your choice of loose-leaf teas, as well as our "Improper selections" of alcohol infused tea options. Our executive Chef Dan Pundik has created a menu that features a variety of small delectables that truly enhance your experience with each bite, fresh daily baked breads and delicious pastries made personally by our in-house Pastry Chef Maria Brown.

Just very average…beautiful restaurant, however. Service was slow and not at all attentive. Daughter’s breakfast was cold. Took a long time to get a waitress and even then it was only after I flagged someone down. I asked for a to-go cup for my latte but she never returned. Food was fine-restaurant decorated beautifully-but worth going elsewhere.

This place had character and a relaxing ambience. The mood was mellow as expected for a Monday evening. The food was good and so was the service. The soft lighting and pleasant atmosphere just right for a date night.

Excellent restaurant. I had the lobster and shrimp capalinni. Very generous portion and delicious. Service was impeccible. And we got to sit next to the mayor of West Palm Beach, who is a frequent customer at Proper Grit

The decor is beautiful and unique, and the ambiance is fantastic. They had a guitar singer and he was fabulous, truly saved the evening for us as we enjoyed listening as we had our cocktail and waited for our food. The server was fantastic, I believe her name was Sholanda. The cocktails and the cornbread/bacon appetizer is fabulous. Our disappointment was in the main meal. My husband ordered the filet and had to send it back (and we never send food back) as it was cooked to medium temperature yet it was tough to chew and the twice-baked potatoes was very small. The replacement steak was flavored well and better, but still a disappointment for $55. I ordered the goat cheese salad which was flavorful, but I topped it with blackened salmon which lacked much flavor. Then to top it off they charge you $20 for valet parking. We eat at restaurants all over the Palm Beach, WPB, and Jupiter area and are not charged, or at the most $5. We will return to the bar for cocktails, appetizers, and the music. However I do not think we will return for a dinner meal.
