Prohibition Columbia opened in the spring of 2024 and is brought to you by the same team behind Prohibition Charleston, which opened in 2014, and Repeal 33 in historic Savannah, Georgia. While many of the food and drink items can be found at all three locations, special considerations have been made to tailor a unique experience in each city.

As part of the ever-growing Main Street District, Prohibition brings innovative cocktails, eclectic cuisine, and live music to the heart of Soda City.

Nice place for Tapas and Bourbon on main street. A very focused yet eclectic menu. Must try the Crab Deviled Eggs, Tomato Toast and perogis. Columbia is spoiled for choice when it comes to Steak Tartare and they have a unique take here. It’s smoked, under a glass dome, blended with anchovies and cured egg yolk. The taste was great but our serving was unusually fatty for tartare making it chewy. Service is great, both at the bar and in the dining room. We will return and will recommend this restaurant to others in town. Prices are about $75 per person plus tip if you explore the menu. (Two of us had six plates total including desert and one beer and one tea).

Fabulous evening with our kids enjoying parents’ weekend. Food was delicious! Shrimp fried rice was our favorite. We also got pierogies, wings, onion tart, burrata flatbread, ricotta gnocchi, and a burger. EVERYTHING was spot on! The craft cocktails were delicious! Highly recommend!

The food was good, the service excellent as were the drinks. However the prices were extremely high. Now, we eat out at high end restraunts sometimes, but this came out to about $75 per person when all was said and done. That, in my opinion, is too high. We won't be going back again as there are way too many other options in downtown Columbia.

My family took me to Prohibition for my birthday. We were greeted at the table by Cory, their manager. He’s an incredibly good guy. Our server was wonderful and I wish I could remember her name. The food was great. Service was as good as it gets. And the atmosphere takes you back to an era long gone by. Very cool place.
