We loved our time here. The cocktail menu is new and exciting and the staff extremely knowledgeable. Trust their recommendations, our favourite drinks were those recommended. The flavours are complex and surprising and extremely tasty. The food was excellent and the ambience perfect. It was civilised, comfortable and the music at just the right volume for a good conversation. We’ll be back next time we’re in Amsterdam.

Food is excellent. The concept is different been offered a lot of shared dishes for those who like that which keeps the costs down. But I have been here a few times now and find the service terrible. Last time I put in my dinner order in at 18.45 got it after asking where was it, at 20.15 a Burger and chips and it was cold but still delicious. But they really need to sort out the communication between the kitchen and the service staff. As this is a constant problem here. It's not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. It's a shame because anytime I have been here we found the food delicious and very tasty but not a place to go for a quick meal.

Truly enjoyed our meal. We ordered several shareable apps , plenty of food. Hummous and baba ghanoush, monkey see monkey do seafood variety, specialty cocktail was wonderful. Service was very good. Definitely would recommend.

Great service and nice ambience. Ordered the “Monkey See Monkey Do” seafood appetizer combo as well as grilled octopus. The grilled octopus was excellent. The Monkey bowl, while visually appealing, was a little too “one note” in terms of textures.

Very friendly staff. Water selection was immediate. Drinks (in this cae wine was next. Great relaxing space with good views of a busy canal. I went bivalve. Oysters (3) raw on the half-shell, well presented. At €19, a bit pricy. (I’m spoiled living in FL). Then mussels in white butter and shallots. A generous portion, well prepared. My wife got the lobster roll. We learned, In Amsterdam, they shred their lobster meat. (You’re not in Maine, anymore, Dorothy!) At the end, nothing remained!
