Welcome to Prime Bar, our first floor Mediterranean eatery and cocktail bar at Nisos Prime. Timeless Mediterranean classics are reimagined with a touch of local nostalgia. Whether you join us for a casual comfort meal or for after-work libations, prepare to indulge in a delightful array of savory creations crafted cocktail concoctions. Enjoy alfresco dining at Prime Bar's exterior 40 person seasonal patio. Prime Bar is one of the three distinct dining experiences at Nisos Prime, a modern Mediterranean steakhouse located in the heart of the West Loop. Be sure to also join us at The Lounge, a hidden cocktail lounge on our second floor offering a wondrous care-free late night experience full of energy and music and transporting guests to the nightlife of the Mediterranean.

Shrimp didn’t seem fresh. Salad was just okay, nothing special. Burger was pretty good but a little greasy. Fries were good! Servers were very nice! Sitting outside there are little kids coming up to the tables trying to sell candy. Annoying and the restaurant should have someone to ensure they are not soliciting customers.

The food at this spot is good, but definitely not great. It doesn't make up for other flaws. Where it falls flat most is on service and horrendous noise level. The OpenTable rating for max is "energetic", but a more appropriate description would be that it is impossible to hear someone sitting 3 ft away from you. Other low points were being out of several of their (very expensive) wine selections, and lethargic service. Most places can fix something small to get a lot better, but Nisos has a lot of work to do to get there. It isn't really a good spot for date night, or romantic evening. It is pitched at a price point that suggests an experience they just don't seem to be able to deliver on.

The space is beautiful, but the service was awful. We were told we would have to have the table open after 90 minutes but the server took 15 minutes just to greet us and then another 15 minutes to take our order. After that point, we didn't see her again until we were finished eating and trying to find her. We rushed to eat to make the time frame yet didn't leave until 2 hours after seating because it took her another 30 minutes to bring the bill.

Decided to try Prime Bar for happy hour but just missed the specials. The food was soooooo good!! We had the Zucchini Chips, 10000/10, Wagyu Burger 10000/10. We also had the Tuna Tartare, it has a little kick but really wasn’t what we were expecting (and we love tartare). Definitely want to try the dinner menu. We will be back!!

Happy hour seemed like a good deal! The few bites we had were good but the drinks were not very good. The cocktails tasted diluted and the wine seemed sub par. We ordered the crudité which seemed like not enough dip for the ratio or veggies and pita. The octopus was yummy and the crab beignets were good but I didn’t care for the type of caviar on top of that. The oysters aren’t bad for $1 either! I kind of wish we were told what to order for the bites to come out on a tower as well like other tables had. The patio was nice but wish there was a way to bring out some of the ambiance from inside to the outside.

I love going to Nisos. The ambiance is amazing, food is one of my favorites in Chicago and I love that their happy hour menu is for every day including weekends! Their Limoncello spritz is delicious and you can’t skip the branzino or the grilled octopus.
