Prelude Kitchen & Bar is Restaurant located in Downtown Sacramento that serves Modern American, Farm to Fork cuisine. Our Chefs work directly with local Sacramento Farmers to source local ingredients for each dish. We believe food and dining is more than sustenance, it's a connection between guests, chefs, farmers, and the nature that surrounds us. Our menu is crafted from scratch, ensuring that every bite resonates with exceptional taste, genuine flavor, and fine dining quality. Prelude Kitchen & Bar is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento next to the Crest Theater, Golden One Center, State Capitol, SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and Performing Arts Center. We offer validated parking at Capitol Garage located directly across the restaurant.

1st time in the restaurant. We would definitely comeback to try out the rest of the menu. Not sure if it was a fluke, the dry aged ribeye had great flavor, however the meat was cooked medium well to well done, when I asked for medium. Let’s see if they get it on Take #2! Jacob and the rest of the team on the floor were awesome.

For $400 for two people, I expected the meal to be good enough to be memorable. It wasn't bad, but it certainly was not one I would go back to for that kind of money

Wonderful meal and excellent service! Devon, my waiter, was right on top of everything and paced the meal nicely! Beet salad was nice and the sole with Meyers Lemon reduction was awesome! I would definitely try the restaurant again!

Our experience was superb!!! Devin was fantastic!! The food, from the wine to my after dinner latte were melt in your mouth good! We will be back🥰

Food and ambience were excellent. Service was marked slightly lower because we believe the kitchen delayed some of our food. (Entrees took quite awhile to be served.) we had a lovely evening at Prelude, and Victoria did an excellent job.

Nice Monday lunch. It was quiet due to the weather but the beet salad and vegetarian sandwich were delicious!

My wife and I loved Prelude and we will be back definitely! The service was excellent the food was great the ambiance was lovely. What was more enjoyable was the price for the product and quality was fantastic!

The ambiance was wonderful. The decorations were great. The staff was very welcoming and attentive throughout this day. The drinks and appetizers were fantastic. Our means were where the meal was a little less than five stars.
