Potente is a sophisticated and upscale Italian restaurant located in downtown Houston led by Executive Chef Danny Trace. Every dish is locally sourced and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Try our chef favorite homemade pasta with black truffles shaved table side, petite filet with pistachio gremolata and homemade desserts sure to delight!

Our attire is relaxed formal. Shorts, hats, sneakers, torn clothing and sweat pants not permitted.

Join us Friday, Nov 22nd, we will have the band Little Terry Rogers & the Blues Birds from 6-10pm, along with a very fun Cajun Bayou menu from Executive Chef Danny. This event will be hosted on our downtown patio weather permitting. Wee will move into our bar and lounge if needed.

Great service food and ambiance- wait staff kept us on schedule for theatre departure but didn’t rush. Excellent food!!!

Delightful dining experience and a wonderful night out. Our server was top notch and went above and beyond to make sure that our dinner was well paced and enjoyable.

The food was amazing. Especially their Spaghetti with white truffle, it was very delicious! The service was also great!

We started out with a glass of rose champagne at the bar and it was the smallest pour I have ever been given so this did not bode well. The food was presented very nicely but my pappadelle was not great very dry meatballs and a slightly over reduced red sauce. Our waiter was great but for the money we were very dissapointed .

Fantastic restaurant! Food was some of the best in Houston and came with the service to match. Definitely on my list to go back!

Last minute trip to Houston & spur of the moment reservation and we truly enjoyed every moment of our dining experience at Potente. Food was amazing and Valentin is a true gem.
