A steakhouse: city vibe, local heart. Our menu is hand selected to feature locally and ethically sourced ingredients. Our head chef and owner Jason Carron has revolutionized the New England restaurant community for two decades. With his acute attention to detail, Carron has helped struggling restaurants find their purpose and passion, restoring their place in the industry. Having given hope to hundreds of restaurants over the years, Carron is opening his first steakhouse this spring, bringing that same level of attention to his own restaurant. Every ingredient is well thought out to innovate the plate with not only something aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly delicious. His farm to table approach, ensures the highest level of ingredients go into every meal you enjoy.

Please note our dress code: No gym wear, hooded sweatshirts, shorts, or ball caps are to be worn. All men are strongly encouraged to have a collar. No tank tops. Jackets are not required.

Good restaurant for parties of 3 or more. If looking for a quieter/romantic restaurant this is not it. It's a small dining room w a dozen or so tables of 4 & only 2 small tables for 2 thrown in corners on top of other tables. We were at one such table & it was barely big enough for all our dishes. Food is excellent quality & was ready in a timely fashion. Service was also excellent. Next time we will try the high top seating in the bar room although those booths were rather large for just 2 people. 🤷‍♀️

Great holiday meal with friends. The steak at this restaurant is “to die for”.

Our experience at Post 1917 was incredible. It started with our waiter Louis, who was friendly and well informed about the food and drinks. The drinks were well made. The appetizers we had were wagyu dumplings and lamp chop lollypops. The dumplings were great and the lollypops were the best we've ever had. Our steaks were cooked to perfection with advice from our waiter on the best way to order them. Our sides were au gratin potatoes and street corn. The potatoes were great and the street corn was exceptional. Our waiter Louis was great in offering a wine pairing which turned out to be spot on. His service was top notch.

The place is beautiful, the food was cold and and had to be sent back, I asked for bread they did not serve bread, do not serve baked potato which seemed odd, the wait staff was no where to be found and the prices are very high. Would not go back.

Another memorable meal. The six of us celebrated a birthday, and the staff made it a true celebration. We all had a great time, from the friendly, professional service to the outstanding food. We requested Sebastian to once again be our server. He is terrific. Our guests remarked that he was the very best server we have ever had in the many restaurants we have all frequented. We had a great time, great service, and a great meal. We will be back again.

Had high hopes , food wasn’t the best and overpriced for the quality… drinks were very good though. Wagyu dumplings awful, crab cakes good, filet cooked well , needed seasoning though. Chicken parm not great , cacia pepe good.

From start to finish our meal at Post was perfect. Our server Luis was outstanding. He provided us with detailed explanations of our selections and guided us through our order. Steak was top shelf, and both the Scallop dish and Crab Cakes were outstanding. Why drive to Boston when we have so many great steakhouses on the North Shore!

Our 3rd dining experience at Post 1917 and it continues to exceed our expectations. It is an energetic crowd that appreciates quality food and drinks. It is not inexpensive, but worth the value. The chicken parm plate is fit for 2 people and the surf & turf combo of filet/lobster tail was terrific. We will be back...
