A steakhouse: city vibe, local heart. Our menu is hand selected to feature locally and ethically sourced ingredients. Our head chef and owner Jason Carron has revolutionized the New England restaurant community for two decades. With his acute attention to detail, Carron has helped struggling restaurants find their purpose and passion, restoring their place in the industry. Having given hope to hundreds of restaurants over the years, Carron is opening his first steakhouse this spring, bringing that same level of attention to his own restaurant. Every ingredient is well thought out to innovate the plate with not only something aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly delicious. His farm to table approach, ensures the highest level of ingredients go into every meal you enjoy.

Please note our dress code: No gym wear, hooded sweatshirts, shorts, or ball caps are to be worn. All men are strongly encouraged to have a collar. No tank tops. Jackets are not required.

5 star experience. Amazing service, outstanding food and drinks. I have celiac disease, and it is rare to find a place so accommodating. Highly recommended.

Post 1917 has made it to my dining list of premium venues. Service was impressive, food was top plate and ambiance to match a wide range of social/business objectives. My wife's steak was promptly replaced cooked to her desired completion and our date night proceeded with anxious anticipation. Thanks to the entire team.

Fantastic meal and overall excellent experience. Sebastian our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. Great recommendations. Started with a delicious crabcake and wedge salad. Filet mignon, roasted carrots and au gratin potatoes were delicious. Amazing espresso martini. Lower marks on the butter cake. Seemed underdone for my liking but overall fabulous dinner.

I hardly ever write reviews because I’ve been a server and hate to diss any restaurant. Hence, 3 stars and not 1. The food was very good, although two of us ordered steaks and they were undercooked. The waiter was nice enough. But… never have I felt so rushed having a meal. The server had us order all at once with no time to relax between courses. From the time we sat to the time we left was 45 minutes. No sooner had we finished our starter and the meals were out. We barely finished eating and they were clearing the table. We declined dessert as we decided to go elsewhere. We sat at a booth on the bar side and it was very loud. We could also hear people on the other side of the wall. I appreciate that it is a small space and they’d like to turn over tables, but this was a bit much. Compared to Bancroft, Capital Grill, Burtons this is lowest on my list. I would say save your money and go somewhere else. Not a place I would revisit. Upside- the bar is good sized and seemed lively.

It was our first experience at Post 1917. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The staff greeted us to bring a drink menu while we waited on our table. They returned and took our drink order and reserved a spot at the beautiful bar for us. The staff returned and walked us to the bar. We sat and enjoyed our drinks. Then we were escorted to our table. Our server was there within 30 seconds with a smile. We ordered drinks and our food. The food was perfectly prepared and was delicious. We now have our new favorite spot for dinner or just drinks! Thank you Post 1917!

The food was expertly prepared and the presentation was pleasing to the eye. The goat cheese & pear salad was extraordinary along with a perfectly cooked Porterhouse. Would like to see sauces included with steak entrees especially at this price point. As a customer I did not get additional value in the up charge for the flight of sauces. Wishing for bread to be add to the offerings at some point soon. It would be a great way to get every last drop of dressing and sauce off the plate.

Excellent! There’s nothing else to say. From the service to the food this was a 10 out of 10! Chef Jason and his staff prepared a delicious dinner for us while Lewis took great care of us all night! Highly recommend this restaurant.
