Our team strives to bring together the freshest local ingredients to produce a variety of cultural rich dishes. The Muskoka lakes are the crown jewel of Ontario cottage country, and as such we seek to bring the food we feel it deserves.

    Lovely casual outdoor dining with great service nice menu, lovely ambiance... Except when there are large parties Caution not to sit too close to large groups. Can get very loud, as apparently there is little respect for other dinners close by, to enjoy their meals in peace, without knowing what.. "Suzie wore to her son's engagement party,..." etc. We enjoyed good food and great service, 2 nights in a row, both nights, large parties were near by and guests were talking and laughing so loudly, it was impossible to hear my partner just inches away from me, trying to speak at a normal volume. Pity that.

    We had a dinner reservation for 8. The hostess, waitress and other servers were all very friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meals thoroughly. There was a lenghty wait for our meals but the food made the wait worth the while. My only constructive feedback to the restaurant/server would be to inform your customer when you're including a 20% gratuity for a table of 6 or more. Yes, we've all seen it before but it makes a difference when you are informed in advance. If someone at our table hadn't noticed the 20% gratuity on thier bill, some of us might not have noticed and potentially then included the suggested tip on top of that. Some people may say buyer beware, but when we the server heard the person sharing this information with the rest of the table, they immediately piped in, first confirming this, then apologizing for not pointing it out, also sharing a customer recently didn't notice, included another tip on top of the included tip, and phoned in to complain about paying a 37% tip on their meal the night before. The whole experience left us all feeling it was an unfortunate miss on the part of the restuarant/server to point this out up front. Hoping this feedback will be taken under consideration and for transparency to be shared with other groups in the future. The meal, the ambiance, and the service, in spite of this incident, were worthy for us to give Portside Fusion another chance at some time in the future.

    We went to Portside Fusion to celebrate our anniversary. From the time of arrival to departure everything was A++. Sophie, our server, was exceptional. My husband does not drink but to ensure we could have an anniversary toast, she made him a sparkling mocktail to cheers with my bubbly! She was friendly, attentive and made sure we had a great experience. The food was remarkable! I’m not sure I’ve had a better tuna plate anywhere else in Muskoka! Thank you Sophie and the rest of the team for a lovely night out!! Highly recommend!
