Porthminster Kitchen serves up a refreshing, playful take on Cornish cuisine, introducing a menu of smaller plates and lighter options which combine global flavours, fresh local ingredients and creative cooking.

We have stripped out much of what is unnecessary; dairy and gluten take a backseat in favour of fresh and exciting textures and flavours.

Porthminster Kitchen enjoys awe-inspiring panoramic views from its location in the heart of St Ives. From your vantage point above the harbour, escape the hustle and bustle and relax on our sun-drenched terrace, or gaze out from huge windows and take in the 180° view.

Fantastic food and drink Loved the kimchi croquettes and the rib eye steak was sooo good . Service was efficient and on point

We had a great night celebrating a special birthday. Staff were fab , despite a minor hiccup regarding a bottle of champagne they went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. Food lived up to high expectations. Fabulous !

We had a lovely meal here. The food was outstanding, service was great. The view over the harbour made it even more special! We’ve been coming to St. Ives for 15 years and for some reason have always missed it! We will definitely be back! xx

Our 4th year in a row coming to this restaurant and it never fails to deliver. The food is exceptional and the service friendly, knowledgeable and superb.

Four of us ate here last night we brought our dog with us and were seated in the appropriate area. We had two fish and chips which was excellent and two catch of the day (Cornish sole) which was wonderful. This is the third year in a row I have been here, always a great meal and I’m sure I will be coming again next year. You can’t get a better view over the harbour a really special experience.

Lovely food, exceptional service & a relaxed atmosphere. Our dog was catered for too in a very thoughtful way for us & other guests.
