Porthminster Kitchen serves up a refreshing, playful take on Cornish cuisine, introducing a menu of smaller plates and lighter options which combine global flavours, fresh local ingredients and creative cooking.

We have stripped out much of what is unnecessary; dairy and gluten take a backseat in favour of fresh and exciting textures and flavours.

Porthminster Kitchen enjoys awe-inspiring panoramic views from its location in the heart of St Ives. From your vantage point above the harbour, escape the hustle and bustle and relax on our sun-drenched terrace, or gaze out from huge windows and take in the 180° view.
We are dog friendly but have limited space for our furry friends please let us know when booking to avoid disappointment.

Welcomed as we walked through the door, shown straight to the table, with an amazing backdrop to St Ives harbour and beyond. Lovely staff, didn’t feel rushed at ordering and not at all disappointed with all plates ( starters, mains & deserts) Look forward to returning soon.

I have visited many times , and it never disappoints . The staff are exceptional and the food magnificent. There is also stunning view from the restaurant.. Highly recommended 🌟

Have eaten here a lot and always choose it as a place to bring friends. Food excellent both presentation and taste as well as friendly efficient service. We will be back !!

We had the wonderful vegetarian roast dinner on Sunday. So much lovely vegetables and the Pithiver was delicious. If we’re in the area again definitely come again.

Great location friendly staff spoilt for choice , i choice the monk fish curry and would most definitely choose it again. We had a lovely evening.

Whitebait starter nice enough, Mackerel pate great The seafood linguine was nice enough but expected more impressive dish for £30!! One lobster craw & one prawn, crab sauce quite powdery tasting & bland Same dish at Peppers soo much nicer & around £20 - also better in Rum & Crabshack for £18 imo Mussels with Nduja lovely & big portion for a starter at £13 Pricing is off
