Porthminster Cafe in St Ives is a multi award winning seafood restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The café specialises in Mediterranean and Asian seafood cuisine and is an oasis of taste and visual beauty.

Firstly, I love this place. This was not my first visit, but my first for Sunday roast. I had high expectations. The roast beef was generous, lean and pink. Lots of veg. But, I was surprised that while it looked good, it lacked flavour. Gravy was thin and bland, cauliflower cheese looked right but no taste. With glass of wine, service etc, it's an expensive lunch albeit with a great view. IMHO I'll return for other meals but not a roast. There are plenty other establishments in St Ives and beyond who are doing it better.

Fabulous food as always and all the waiting staff did a wonderful job and were warm and welcoming. The ‘Muzak’ was simply dreadful and overwhelming. I want to talk to my partner not try to compete with the extra noise.

We had a fantastic lunch here today. Our table overlooked the beach and the whole experience was wonderful. The food was outstanding.

2nd visit. Great food and attentive staff. Pork cheeks starter melted in the mouth. Fish curry was also delicious with roasted hispi cabbage. Will definitely return

Delicious meal with really helpful and friendly service. Food was honestly amazing and so much better than most restaurants you will eat at!

We had a very warm and friendly greeting. Service was speedy, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. A good choice available and the quality excellent. All together a most enjoyable experience. Thoroughly recommended!
