Nestled beneath the steep slopes of Porthminster Point, right on the beach with unbeatable and uninterrupted views across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse. Now open all year round for coffee, lunch and dinner.
Porthminster Cafe in St Ives is a multi award winning seafood restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The café specialises in Mediterranean and Asian seafood cuisine and is an oasis of taste and visual beauty.

A high point to look forward to whenever we are in St Ives. Reliably excellent and imaginative food and efficient and friendly service, for the 15 years or so that we have been dining here.

Back to its usual outstanding cooking this year with charming and well informed staff as ever. The beach views are quite possibly the best in England. Pricey, but worth pushing the boat out!

Went with 3 dogs for dinner. Unfortunately their was a waitress serving us was not tentative to our table, we decided after numerous occasions that we weren't to pay the optional service charge, which the waitress questioned why!? We started to share the occasions where we felt she had lacked, and she got defensive/passed blame on others/didn't want to listen and talked over us. Surprised when she said she was the manager and/or been a manager for previous restaurants! Spoiled our food and experience, which was ok but a tad on the expensive side if all is locally sourced.

Just perfect - the service, the friendly staff, our meals were absolutely delicious and the location / view is amazing, we only get to visit once a year when on holiday, have loved all our visits to this special restaurant 🤩

If there is a better place to be than sitting on Porthminster Beach Cafe’s balcony in the sun having a leisurely lunch, then I don’t know it. We’ve been lucky enough to be coming for years now and they have never let us down. Fabulous food, of course, but the knack of making it feel special even when the weather is rubbish, and welcoming whether you’re in shorts or a suit, with big kids, little kids, dogs or whoever is very special.

Fantastic visit, as always. Food tastes fabulous and is spectacularly presented, service immaculate and friendly and the location is truly beautiful. One of our favorite restaurants.
