Wanted to love this place. It’s beautiful and the ambiance is just about perfect. Unfortunately the food was just not very good.

If you are near the LAX for a layover or next day flight, head to downtown El Segundo and hit this spot. It’s super close and a really good steak. The staff is awesome. What a nice surprise to find something so good close to LAX.

Sat on the back patio. Nice atmosphere and we were not ignored. Ribeye was a little fatty but all in all a very nice meal. We will be back

The Wagyu Steak was amazing. Was tempted to try the Tomahawk… would come back and try it.

I am a steakhouse manager myself, so I bring a unique perspective to this review. Every course was timed perfectly. The presentation of the food items was spot on. Each course was delicious, we had the wagyu filets, and they were cooked to perfection. The only thing better than the food was the service. Erin was a fantastic server, friendly and professional. She was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Kudos. A great experience that everyone should try.

We loved our meal and the ambiance. Two shared a filet; one had a ribeye and one a NY steak. Each was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. We 4 shared 2 Caesar salads and each serving was ample. Sides were mashed potatoes and broccolini and rolls. Delicious all round. Dessert was the lemon curd mousse—also delicious. We took our own old wine which was perfect for 4 and staff did great job of opening and decanting it! Ulysses was our server and he was great. Yes a pricier meal then our usual; yet so delicious and a celebration so well worth it. We sat inside and the mood was lovey but not noisy. Would love to go back with friends and sit in the patio. A local special place.

Fantastic experience at Porterhouse! Food was delicious, service excellent and our table was in great location across from the bar. Co-owner Alex was present and came to the table to greet us. Nice touch to see if celebrating anything special, and we weren't but the couple next to us was celebrating 6-month anniversary of first date - also at Porterhouse! Alex offered them complimentary champagne! General Manager Chris also very friendly and accommodating. A new dessert on the menu is Lemon Curd Mousse and it's outstandingly delicious! Don't miss the opportunity to dine at this special El Segundo spot!

Patio and live music by Olivia Pucci was the best. Good food good company and great entertainment to complement our great food and service.
