What a fabulous night! Portale was on our list but we had never been there before. It is now on our go-to list permanently. The food (appetizers, entrees and desserts) was amazing. Service was perfect and the atmosphere was great. We typically stay in the West Village but not anymore. Portale was so enjoyable.

Great spot but not cheap. I would highly recommend. The food is outstanding...right from the warm homemade foccacia with whipped ricotta to the duck breast which was cooked perfectly....knife cut through like butter. The lobster primi dish was great too.

It was a wonderful surprise, i ordered the bolognese bianco ( lumache) and i loved the dish! I recomend portale, it was the best restaurant in my trip to NY.

This place was excellent. Not quite Michelin star worthy, but the service and feel was great. The food was very fresh and high quality, just not super innovative. Good enough for us to come back again.

初めての訪問でした。シーザーサラダ　これまで、食べた中でも最高の美味しさ。素材の新鮮さ、アンチョビの味付けがGood。バスタ　2種類とも歯応え、味の複雑さが素晴らしい。デザート　アフォガート、チーズケーキともに見栄え、味わいを楽しめました。また是非訪れたいと思います。

One of my new NYC favorites! So glad that Mr Portale has a new venue to showcase his amazing culinary skill. I missed Gotham, but this is equally terrific.
