From the beginning, we had a very simple goal: To serve the best Italian food around. Food that we can present to our guests with pride. In Pursuit of that goal, we constantly seek ways to give the very best of what we have to offer!

Opened in May of 2001. It was one of the first restaurants to offer authentic Italian cuisine in Downtown Dallas. The street-side windows allow for you to view the venerable Neiman Marcus, as well as the passing traffic of vehicles and people on foot.
Porta Di Roma has menus featuring award-winning pizzas and a wide variety of pasta dishes, many of which are graced with chicken breast, fresh veal, and an assortment of seafood. Lunch and dinner specials prepared by the Chef / Owner Demi are must-try items. With a full-service bar and an affordable wine list, your stay here will be a memorable one!

Enjoyable. Food was terrific. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to the downtown Dallas area.

The food was okay. It was not the best Italian food, but definitely not the worst. The service was great & we enjoyed the downtown area.

My friends joined my wife and I for a show at the Majestic in Downtown Dallas. We decided on Italian for the dinner and I found Porta Di Roma within walking distance from the theater. Outside of our waitress appearing nervous, (yet she did a great job) Porta Di Roma is a very nice casual restaurant...great location, great ambiance, great food, and was an enjoyable experience before our show. It will be a restaurant that we will consider visiting again when we are in the Downtown Dallas area, so highly recommended!

My date and I ordered the chicken Marsala and the beal Marsala. The risotto was good and my chicken was cooked well, however, the sauce was a little salty. We didn’t love the bread/rolls. I thought they needed a little more flavor. The server was very nice and attentive. She recommended some wine that was really good. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake and espresso martinis (with Baileys instead of Kahlua) after dinner. Both were great. My only complaint was the slice of cheesecake was really thin. Overall, it was a great experience and I would go back.

Poor service and it wasn’t even busy.. the manager was so busy smoking out side they went to get him because we wanted to complaint about seating for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged. He basically told us it is what it is… I will recommend going to the taco place few steps away. They were nice!

We had pizza and spaghetti in the arugula salad, for dessert the cream cake and spumoni. The service was great, and the best thing about the restaurant! Of course, the food was delicious. We have no complaints about the food whatsoever. We had a nice window table. Our server was very attentive!
