Situated on the eighth floor of the Port of Leith Distillery, the Bar contains some of the finest and most exciting new wave whiskies from Scotland and around the world.

With stunning views of Edinburgh, Leith and the Firth of Forth, the 200-bottle double-height back bar is intended to invite discovery and enlightenment at the sheer wonder and variety of global whisky alchemy.

Much like the whisky the distillery seeks to create, everything else the bar has to offer is inspired by the provenance of the Forth Valley, and Leith’s rich food and drink heritage.

With a seasonally inspired food menu of local and indigenous ingredients, Head Chef Patrick and his team, combine classic and modern techniques, championing the best of Scotland’s farmers and produce.

We look forward to welcoming you in for a dram.

Our Kitchen closes at 9:30pm Tuesday - Saturday and 7:30pm Sunday - Monday.
Our Bar Snacks menu runs all night.

We find the thought of hanging out in our whisky distillery to be pretty exciting and we thought others would too. We’ve created a number of spaces within the building that you can hire out for corporate meetings, birthday parties, weddings, private tastings or high-level secret discussions.

Leith Whisky Club is a regular social gathering held at the Port of Leith Distillery Bar. For our eighth LWC we figured it was time to invite more pals along. The courageous free-thinking team from Glasgow Distillery will be venturing east to takeover the club for the evening. Join us as they showcase how they work with their three different styles across the Glasgow 1770 Signature Range and their experimental Small Batch Series. Lineup: 1. Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled 2. Fantastic! Visited after doing the distillery tour and tasting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere, amazing views and the food was delicious. We ordered the scallops, smoked haddock scotch egg and chips. Amazing selection of drinks too. Would highly recommend.

The bar area is very well laid out with great views across Leith/harbour. We had reserved a table but were just given the nearest one to the waitress which was a bench one and had to ask if we could move to a more comfortable booth one. Service was prompt but our order of snack never arrived and I ordered the new Isle of Harris whisky Hearach but when I got the bill it had been a Glen Garioch. Poor for a specialised whisky bar.

Very high quality food, drink, service, views - and of course - amazing Whisky. Highly recommend to Edinburgh locals and visitors - it's worth the trip over to Leith.
