Situated on the eighth floor of the Port of Leith Distillery, the Bar contains some of the finest and most exciting new wave whiskies from Scotland and around the world.

With stunning views of Edinburgh, Leith and the Firth of Forth, the 200-bottle double-height back bar is intended to invite discovery and enlightenment at the sheer wonder and variety of global whisky alchemy.

Much like the whisky the distillery seeks to create, everything else the bar has to offer is inspired by the provenance of the Forth Valley, and Leith’s rich food and drink heritage.

With a seasonally inspired food menu of local and indigenous ingredients, Head Chef Patrick and his team, combine classic and modern techniques, championing the best of Scotland’s farmers and produce.

We look forward to welcoming you in for a dram.

Our Kitchen closes at 9:30pm Tuesday - Saturday and 7:30pm Sunday - Monday.
Our Bar Snacks menu runs all night.

We find the thought of hanging out in our whisky distillery to be pretty exciting and we thought others would too. We’ve created a number of spaces within the building that you can hire out for corporate meetings, birthday parties, weddings, private tastings or high-level secret discussions.

Amazing views and wonderful selection of whisky. We are regular visitors as we stay locally but we had visitors over from the US on this occasion. Jmaes is a huge whiksy fan so the POL was on his wish list. Wonderful food, drinks and service. Keep up the good work.

We didn’t eat as part of our booking, but I was required to rate the food, so please ignore that. Service was good, but the background music in the room was a little too loud for me. Drinks were good in taste and OK in price.

Food was excellent with a range of quality local beers. Views outstanding. Service excellent and thanks for the small birthday gift.

To the tallest distillery in the world! In Leith. It is indeed very high. And very modern and industrial. Everything is shiny metal or matt black and very minimal and so very high. And so you can stand at the vast glass windows and look out upon all of Leith and across the Firth of Forth to Fife, glass in hand and pretend you are some kind of Criminal Mastermind in a film and you are plotting. After an excellent tour with the delightful and very knowledgeable Emery, we headed off for a lunch we'd booked at the distillery cafe. We were kind of delighted and amazed to discover we had happened upon some kind of sought after spot at some kind of top notch restaurant with amazing food. There were cocktails and scallops and a haddock scotch egg and a beetroot and whipped tofu dish. All very imaginative and cooked to perfection. We stayed for a whisky flight of experimental casks after our meal. We were just kind of amazed because we were not planning on fancy. We thought we were going to a distillery tour, then it's caff, then a walk back up Leith Walk and home. Unscary bill, too, especially considering all that we had. A terrific and very pleasantly surprising birthday treat day out.

Unusual small plates of food - very tasty. Service was helpful, if varied (3 different people). The food order was taken by memory and a dish appeared that we hadn't ordered and we missed one that we had ordered - not a disaster just a little disappointing. The drinks were all excellent, cocktails, wines and port all consumed with relish. Would definitely go again - great atmosphere and views. Floor manager could have been a bit more professional but otherwise was a good experience. Would definitely visit again, great atmosphere (and views).

We had a fabulous visit! The staff were lovely and very attentive, the cocktails were awesome and food delicious. We will definitely be back very soon!!

First visit on its first anniversary, don’t know why it took me so long. Superb range of whisky, even some bottles from the SMWS. Great venue and ambience along with fantastic views from the bar. Service was first class and the Leith Export Co Table Whisky, a single grain, was delightful and exceptional value. So good, I’ve just bought a bottle. I’ll definitely be returning to this venue on a regular basis now. I thoroughly recommend this bar.
