We dined here for my husband’s birthday. It’s an intimate atmosphere inside. On the outside deck there are heaters, perfect for Maine fall weather. They have an extensive, mostly Italian, wine list and a full bar. We shared the arugula salad which was fresh, light and ample enough for two. I enjoyed immensely the cacio a pepe. Fresh made and cooked al dente. The sauce was perfectly rich. My husband ordered the pork osso bucco. The presentation was beautiful. The flavors were perfect with a leading note of rich red wine. It sat atop a delicious mixture of whipped polenta and root vegetables. Very flavorful. We ended with a birthday tiramisu. The service could not have been better. We will definitely be back.

Everything tonight was delicious. I started with a fig and honey spritz. My husband and I had the focaccia bread and mushroom soup as an appetizer. The mushroom soup was excellent. We had the Pappardelle bolognese as our main course. It was also excellent. Dessert was lemon olive oil cake covered in mascarpone and blueberries drizzled with basil infused olive oil. I can’t even explain how good I thought this was. It was the best cake I think I’ve ever had. I had read the reviews before going and most were good but there were some negative reviews. I almost canceled our reservation. I am so glad I didn’t because it was a lovely meal with nice service.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday. So glad we picked this restaurant. We appreciated the gift he gave us. Drinks were awesome We had the meatballs as appetizer - very flavorful. I had fettucine cooked to perfection - generous portion My husband had the steak - delicious Our waitress was very friendly - very welcoming. We ate in the sun room . It was a special evening. We were early for our reservation and they were kind to accommodate us . It was a wonderful dining experience and we highly recommend this restaurant.

Our service was attentive and knowledgeable and there is potential here but as a new restaurant they need to work on the menu. Some dishes were good, some less so and all portions were very large (not such a good thing). Offering two sizes on all pastas would be great and also more options for vegetarians beyond rather ho hum vodka sauce or heirloom tomato sauce would be nice. Not a bad meal, just could have been a lot better. Scrap the bean dip with the focaccia…it doesn’t work. Kale Caesar was pretty good and we had a very nice bottle of wine.

Food and service were excellent - highly recommend the mussels and halibut!! Delicious!

When we arrived, we were offered an outside table however it was on the side of the restaurant and there were no other diners. We elected to accept the original table we had scheduled. First course salads were delicious! We then ordered our meals. One meal was Cioppino and the other was Chicken Piccata. The seafood stewwas very good and ample seafood was served with two thinly sliced pieces of focaccia. The piccata dish came with a a few pieces of chicken drowning in sauce. No pasta was offered with the piccata. When we asked about this, we were told the dish was not served with pasta. We then asked for a side of pasta to which we were told, we would be required to order a pasta entree if we wanted pasta. We rejected ordering another entree just to get some pasta. This soured the remainder of our meal experience, ate what we were served, paid our check and will never return! Very disappointed.

Very overpriced All other Italian restaurants in Bar Harbor have better menus and ambiance as well as at least 20% cheaper Skip it

We had an exceptional meal. For appetizers we ordered the arugula salad and the meatballs on a bed of polenta. Both dishes were delicious. For our entrees we ordered the wild mushroom risotto and the cacio e Pepe - both dishes were outstanding. For desert we shared the lemon olive cake with mascarpone filling topped with a wild blueberry sauce - it was light and vey tasty. We would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back when we are visiting Bar Harbor.

First, it needs to be acknowledged that Bar Harbor is not a “Foodie” destination. It’s a national park gateway town. Those seeking an amazing dining experience should stay in Portland or maybe the mid-coast region. Nonetheless, people arrive here with unrealistic expectations. I had heard a few negative reviews or comments about Porcelli’s, but we found them unfair. Our dinner here was quite good. All dishes were generously portioned. Salad with crisp greens. A flavorable Bolognese topped perfectly cooked parpadelle. Chicken Piccata with a lemony caper butter topping that would have been nice for dipping crusty bread. Fresh broccolini. The wine list is quite lengthy (the cellar is shared with sister restaurant Havana across the street). It covered the usual suspects, but we found a 2022 Morei Teroldego from the Dolomites region that was amazing. Give this place a try when you need a break from lobster rolls and Whoopi pies.
