Everyday we offer a wonderful selection of tacos! The options are beef al pastor, chicken, cauliflower, and mushroom. We also have a wide range of margarita flavors. The MUST try flavors are the cucumber, coconut, and hibiscus. Margaritas are only $9 from 4pm to 7pm Monday through Friday, along with the tacos going for $4. Craft Beers are $6, and shots are only $5! Find yourself in a little slice of Mexico at Populares!

The space looks beautiful so I decided to give it a try myself despite the reviews. The food was amazing and the prices are unbeatable for a restaurant like this in the lower east side. I had the skirt steak, and it was perfect! They have a fire grill! The drinks were great too, and the staff are very amiable. Will be returning.

This dining experience was a quite chaotic! Food was awesome from appetizer to entrees to desert. Cocktails were good. We ordered from the restaurant week menu and were relatively pleased with the portion-size and menu options! The service was very sloppy. I tried to call the restaurant prior to our reservation and could not get through. When dining, our entrees came out all at different times with one person in our party waiting an additional 20 minutes for their entree (without explanation or apology). The waitstaff was very warm and kind, but felt inexperienced. The restaurant appeared understaffed. Ambience was puzzling. When we arrived they were playing acoustic music and by the time we left they were playing club/house music and setting up for a DJ. I might not recommend this for a nice dinner with friends and family, but the food was quite good, so if you’re looking for a good tacos and a nice cocktail… proceed with caution!

Hey! Our guacamole is actually made in small batches, like the rest of the menu items, daily to ensure the freshest kitchen to table experience! Glad you liked the tacos, we're constantly on the lookout for the best quality ingredients from local distributors in the city!

the food was not very good and the drink order was wrong when all I ordered was a mezcal straight. Was looking forward to coming here but definitely wouldn't go back or recommend.

The food was terrific- we had the corn, the steak fajitas and two tacos- all very good! Our waiter was brand new and a bit undertrained- didn’t know the menu nor how to put orders in to the kitchen- was very apologetic and nice, but our meals came out at very different times- so we had to send one back because it was cold before the others arrived. It’s a cute neighborhood place with good food and well priced.

I'm glad to hear you had such a fantastic dining experience at Populares! The drinks, especially the Condesa Spritz and Pina Caipirinha, exceeded your expectations, and the Guacamole and Salsa Chips were spot-on. The Tuna Tostadas were delicious, and all the tacos, especially the Duck Carnitas, Lamb Chorizo, Shrimp Taco, Lobster Taco, and Short Ribs Birria, were on point. The kids enjoyed them too! The Shirt Steak, Chile Relleno, and Nezcal Roasted Chicken were perfectly cooked. It sounds like you'll definitely be returning for more. Your feedback is invaluable and will surely help others make informed dining decisions!

Wow! What an incredible dining experience at Populares! From the moment we stepped in, we were whisked away on a culinary journey like no other. The craft drinks, especially the Tamarindo Reyes and Mala Mia Martini, were absolutely divine and perfectly complemented by the mouthwatering appetizers, especially the elote and Tuna tostada. And don't even get me started on the taco mix and main courses – each dish showcased the chef's expertise and left us wanting more. The Amantes Negroni and mezcarajillo were the cherry on top of an already amazing meal. Populares truly delivers an unforgettable dining experience that leaves you craving for more. Can't wait to come back for another round of deliciousness

This is a super cute spot with delicious food and awesome caipirinhas! We sat by the window and enjoyed weather. Great service too. Definitely recommend!

What a great brunch spot! The food was incredible! Drinks were strong and delicious! The service was beyond great! There was a Dj spinning and the inside is so cute!
