    In my opinion mediocre restaurant trying to be upscale. The chips and queso were day old chips, greasy and rubbery. They apologized and stated they could not make a fresh batch of chips. The short rib pasta was ok, descent flavor but small in portion and very little short rib on a $30 plate. Outside tables on gravel-not upscale. Prices on food (steaks) seem too high for the quality and location (ambiance) Mastros prices but not as good. Gelato waffle was good. The duck appetizer was ok. Service was good! I probably won’t be back but they did seem busy.

    We loved our experience at Poppy and Seed. The food was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed watching the chef clipping fresh herbs from the herb garden for our dishes. Perfectly pleasant evening.

    The food and service was good. It would have been even better if when the dishes came out they explained what we were eating. I think it elevates the food and the enjoyment to the next level. We will be back.

    You HAVE TO EAT HERE! If you are a true foodie, then prepare yourself. The grilled octopus had a spicy oil sauce with some type of chopped greens and crunch. The flavors blended perfectly. Then the kale, carrots and sweet potatoes were off the chain! The kale was quick fried for a crunchy texture and the other vegetables were caramelized to perfection. Then the pork chops were on point. The outdoor seating showcased a vegetable garden around and all food is organic and farm raised. The owners are very humble and the actually serve the food so you may mistake them for an employee. I am African American and I highly recommend to other people of color looking for spectacular food that is flavorful. The chef is awesome!

    My family is in from the east coast and wanted to support Chef Michael Reed. Poppy and Seed is a mile away and we will be back. Shrimp and grits was phenomenal. The eggs Benedict was a must try. The short rib hash, and the tarragon chicken salad was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles and the French toast. The service was great and is quintessential California where you can eat outside and be comfortable. Love this place!

    My friend and I had the best time. Ate outside during the Stawberry Moon & Stars. The Non-alcoholic wines weren't good. But the food was delicious!! The chef & his staff were so friendly. Great dining experience overall.
