    We’ve been wanting to try Poppy & Seed for quite some time. It was a beautiful Sunday and we made a reservation. The overall experience was nice but could have been so much nicer. We were right on time and the person at the front host stand was not helpful, luckily one of the bartenders stepped in a figured out a table for us. That same person did not even look up as we left. The food was good quality but we think we didn’t order correctly. Our server was very nice but both that person and the only other server on the patio stood and talked to another table for 5-10 minutes 2 or 3 times and ignored the rest of the guests. The whole experience was not up to the standards of Michelin Recommended restaurant.

    Always a wonderful experience. Exquisite farm to table food, wonderful ambiance. Menu or waitstaff needs to provide guidance on portion size of all plates, which varies widely. Can't wait to go back.

    I was honestly let down by our dining experience here. I had booked this reservation about a week in advance for my birthday and I had high hopes. Under the selection of what special occasion we were dining for I put birthday because it was supposed to be for my birthday. When we got to the restaurant, our waitress did not ask us or acknowledge my request that we were there dining for my birthday. Then with a monotone voice she just blurted out 1 million things about the menu without pause which was very awkward overwhelming for us. We ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was the tiniest portion that didn’t fill us at all. Definitely overpriced food for tiny portions.

    If you're in Anaheim, I strongly suggest you add Poppy & Seed to your list of places to dine. What's Great - 1/ The craft cocktails were excellent, 2/ The Duck Confit Tacos and Steak Tartar starters were awesome, as was the Garganelli pasta which we shared as a starter. 3/ The Scallops and the Pork Chop were the Main Course standouts, and 4/ The Bread Pudding desert was a big hit. What could have been better - 1/ The Spinach Pappardelle was a bit over-seasoned, and 2/ the wine list is a bit limiting. That being said I would highly recommend dining here, especially if you are a foodie, as the menu has a lot of interesting dishes that you won't find elsewhere.

    Normally, I always submit five star however, I submitted a reservation with the add-on of a champagne bottle for mimosas and no one recognized the add on and they were not ready for our reservation of five people. It was part of the reservation and the service was slow. However, the food was worth the trip, if this restaurant fix their service It would definitely be five star.

    Very cute spot and service was great. I ordered a biscuit and the chicken and waffles. Biscuit was over baked and a bit crunchy, and the chicken and waffles felt a bit undercooked like they both could have been crispier.
