Two very special but uniquely different places are the inspiration behind Pompei’s. The spectacular rustic beauty of Cortina perched high in the Alps of northern Italy underpins everything we do. And the eclectic cool chic of the world’s most famous beach shapes how we do it. Just as the dramatic vertical pale peaks of the Dolomites contrasts with the cosmopolitan marine landscapes of Bondi, our faith in traditional artisanal hand-crafting cooking contrasts with our creativity and innovation to produce delicately balanced healthy dishes. It’s our tradition in evolution, continuing our journey guided by fond memories of my mother’s Italian home cooking. They say there’s two sides to every story - so stay a while and hear ours. We might be from Cortina, but we’ve made this place our home. And both places define us. We’re Bondi made Italian.

We had a booking for 8 and they were fantastic. Food was served fast (which was good as we had 4 ravenous teenagers!) and it was delicious. They were very accomodating of our various requests. It had been requested as the venue for a 'welcome home' dinner and the guest of honour was very pleased to have her first meal on home soil be at Pompei!

I was very disappointed with my experience at Pompeii's. To begin, we did not receive our food until 1 hour after we had ordered as there was a "problem in the kitchen". I was not impressed as we had made a very simple order and it was clear the waitress had forgotten our order as she had to take our order a second time. This was especially frustrating as we were very hungry. I understand that service doesn't always go perfectly, however I was disappointed that Pompeii's had made no effort to rectify the situation. I would have appreciated if they had offered us a discount or even a free gelato as an apology. Instead, they charged us a service fee! After waiting for an extended period of time to receive our food, they brought out the starters and mains at the same time, however I had specifically asked they be brought out separately. Concerning the food, I found the portion sizes disappointing compared to the prices and the pasta was lukewarm. Additionally, it was a windy winters night and the staff had left two large windows open, meaning we were sitting in a cold draft. Overall, we were left feeling unsatisfied with our experience at Pompeii's.

The host and the team wonderful, assist us with any question and made our experience perfect. They noticed every thing we needed. The food was beautiful and the restaurant is a great place to sit and enjoy. Thank you team.

The food is delicious with lots of choices. Waiter and waitress are very nice. Definitely recommend to go.

Keen to show some friends from the UK the best of Bondi and Adriano was able to help with an outdoor table for 8 at very short notice. Always a great vibe... Thanks so much

Food was excellent and good value for money. My only comment was some of the glasses had to be returned to be be rewashed and when the waitress brought out our (home made) birthday cake, she left it in the box .. we had to remove it, light the candles etc.. small issues but these are the nice touches ..overall lovely evening.

The reviews we read before we went there were rather too favorable for the experience we had. The place is somewhat overrated. The service was chaotic and the waitress would forget immediately what we asked for so I would have to go to the counter and ask again and bring it myself to the table (simply: parmesan cheese for the pasta...) She was nice, though - just not professional enough. Overall: not bad but nothing memorable by far.
