Pomo Pizzeria, in downtown Phoenix, dishes out authentic neapolitan-style pizza in an intimate and inviting restaurant. The extensive pizza menu bulids from a base of tomato sauce, fresh basil and mozzarella. Options include the diavola, with spicy salami, the contadina, with mushrooms, artichokes, onion, pepper and black olive, and the tirolese, with brie and smoked prosciutto. Great food staff was nice but slow. Definitely understaffed but not a huge issue. Pizza was great pasta was too but small portion

Was really happy to find Pomo had gluten free pizza!! Really good crust sauce, and toppings. Low key place. Nice sitting area outside.

From check-in to sit down the whole staff worked together. They actually smiled and acted liked they liked their jobs. We had 5 people in our group and sat inside we were waited on immediately. We ordered 2 breads and oils (with olives) delish! And the calamari and shrimp app (it was so good we got another). Our table had 2 pizzas (the child size was very generous) and then gnocchi, shrimp and vodka, and shortrib and pasta= these had wayyy better names but this is the easy version. Everything had delish flavor and the gnocchi was a fav. We finished by sharing tiramisu and the kids got gelatos. We can’t wait to go back (even if for the pizza alone) and we drove over a hour to get there. I’m sooo glad we tried it.

When visiting Phoenix my husband and I always eat at POMO. It’s probably the best pizza I have ever eaten. We always recommend to family and friends. Service is awesome too! Love POMO!!!!

For the price food was tasty. Main dishes and pizzas did not come out as hot as they should have. Server was helpful and friendly.

I got excellent service from my waiter, Ever, and my bartender, Hannah. I didn’t expect such great service. I rewarded them monetarily, but I think they might need some verbal recognition from management, too. Hannah made me a great Lemon Drop martini, and Ever was ever so accommodating to any request I made. I also received a great greeting from Bella, too, receptionist / server.
