$18.00 for 3 small triangles of watermelon and feta cheese and about 10 arugula leaves, with some sauce over the top, was good but so over priced. Had ravioli homemade and sauce was absolutely delicious but the menu tends to be pricey. Service was very good as well. I probably won’t be back because of that.

They’ve done a good job over the years getting more consistent, better service, and keeping quality high. We had great service last night during peak busy time, seated right at our reservation time as well. Big steps up from years past!

The kitchen needs to pay attention to the wait staff when they note food allergies. The kitchen added dairy to two of our meals despite the allergies noted. In addition, the grilled octopus appetizer was all red onions and two tiny slivers of octopus. Not remotely worth the market price

The food was excellent!! It was the best meal we had on our trip! The bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious!

Had a really tough experience at Polpo last weekend. Ordered 2 of the same specials of the evening. Chef thought it was a good idea to drench the Dungeness crabs in the sauce for the pasta. It made it impossible to crack the crab clusters without making a mess. It was way more work than it should have been. $52 for a very average dish. I asked the server why the chef prepared the dish with sauce all over the crab the way he did and he laughed. Overall not the best experience for a $400 meal.

Service was excellent. We ordered one of the specials, which if you ask the price ( you should, to avoid surprises) was significantly more than the regular meals ( $52 versus around $35), but in this occasion was worth it: 8 Oz lobster tail and multiple jumbo shrimp over excellent home made linguine in a spicy red sauce. Plenty to take some home. The appetizer of fried calamari and shrimp was a little pedestrian: the calamari were only slightly warm and seemed to be scooped from a pan, but were accented by spicy red and green peppers. The restaurant is BYOB, but also sells some wines. Based on previous visits with reservations, the earlier you arrive the more you will be seated on time ( we avoid weekends), but the experience ( ambience, service and quality of food , plus your own wine) is a good one. I don’t like how the restaurant passes on the credit card charge, but the menu lists this detail in accordance with New Jersey law. We come often, and will return.

Food was decent quality. Food was an hour coming out for entrees. Server Emerson was absolutely top flight. Great. The place was clean and well maintained Friendly Might try again
