The food was delicious. Our server was not adept at taking our orders. The manager listened to our concerns and requifided the issues. Not sure if I would reserve this restaurant again. Another issue is there were no female servers, only males. The one female we saw was a busser. I knew it’s an Italian restaurant but I don’t like inequality. I’m sure it’s cultural but not my style.

Our group decided to dine outside since the summer season had just ended but the weather was still very pleasant. The service was exceptional, as we had 2 waiters serving us. They bent over backwards to check ingredients with the chef for those in our party that had dietary restrictions. The food portions were very nice & 4 out of 5 of us loved the taste of our food! One person in our party tasted an off putting spice in his pasta dish that left him luke warm on the flavors. Otherwise, it was a flawless dining experience!

We arrived at Polpo with great expectations since we ate there a few years ago. First off we sat down with our wine that we brought to dinner. On the OpenTable email confirmation, it said that there was no corkage fee with wine that was brought in by diners. I called the restaurant ahead of the reservation and asked if was a corkage fee and was told that there wasn’t. As soon as we sat down, the waiter told us there a corkage fee which we had to pay. I told him that I had called as well and what OpenTable indicated . This was a big turnoff to start our dinner.He relented and thenbhe went to a table of six, he reiterated the corkage fee. They were not happy as well and continued complaining.The specials were rattled off and I choose the Chicken and Shrimp over Linguine special. No prices were given.The dish came out and the chicken was dry and overcooked and there was 3 shrimp. It was a mediocre meal at best . The big surprise came when the bill arrived. The Chicken and Shrimp special cost an outrageous $52 which blew my mind. Consequently, we will not return to Polpo again. Just to add insult to injury, another restaurant a few blocks away offered their version of the same meal which was excellent and only $32 which is very reasonable.

The food was amazing definitely worth the 30-45 minute wait, calamari fritti was a great way to start the meal, I had the chicken parmigiana which the server suggest the pink sauce instead of red so I gave it a try and the pink sauce was fabulous and over chicken parm with rigatoni was great 10/10 will get again with pink instead, my girlfriend had the gnocchi with pink sauce and she was very pleased with how it came out. My only complaint which I can’t blame the server too much for was after asking 4 times for another drink neither me or my gf got it but because it was a packed house I’m not mad.

Fair food, great service. Special prices a bit high. $52 for short rib compared to other menu prices. Way high!

Food was delicious and the service was great but we were in a new over-flow room that is not that nice. We took out of town guests and they also commented on the room.

Food and service was outstanding. We had a large party that we reserved for a month ahead. Only down side was we were crammed at our table. We think because they were not seating outside because the weather looked iffy.

The food is always very good. We had to ask our waiter to repeat the specials twice (as did the table next to us) because it was way too noisy to hear him. Polpo should really consider having the specials typed up, with prices. Special prices were too high - by adding a couple lumps of crabmeat to a pasta dish, the price went up $13.
