Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe.
We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that!

Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation.

We are a small restaurant and therefore we do have a strict no show- cancellation policy. we need 24 hours or more. Please be considerate of this.

My wife suffers from celiac disease, so this place is perfect for her. She doesn’t have to worry about anything on the menu and could order everything, everything on the menu is gluten-free. The food and drinks were really good. We loved the meatballs and arancini. Also, had the short rib and polenta. It was perfect. It’s a small location, but it was very enjoyable and staff was awesome.

The food was outstanding. The halibut was moist, tender and flavorful and served on a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes. Loved the arranci( sp?). Delicious polenta with mushrooms and sausage.. The servers were all pleasant and efficient. Beautiful, intimate ambience. Candles on the table and comfortable easy chairs.

What a fabulous meal! I have celiac's disease so it's hard for me to find safe places to eat, let alone delicious ones like La Polenteria. Everything we had was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the braised ribs, cheesecake, and arancini. Our server was lovely and had great suggestions. I will be back!

What a hidden gem in Los Gatos. We went here for our son's birthday and everything was amazing and delicious. The taste and quality of all the food was top notch. The best thing is they are a gluten free restaurant, which was a bonus. The bread was so fluffy and soft. We are already planning to go back. Oh and don't forget the cocktails-they were different and yummy as well.

This place was really good. It’s 100% celiac safe and has the best gluten free focaccia I’ve had. It’s quite small and the service feels very personal. I would definitely recommend!

I really wanted to like this restaurant. I’ve been twice in the last month and although the appetizers were ok - my meal was just not good. The first time I had a polenta dish and it was so soupy I could barely taste the polenta. Last night I had a pasta that had no flavor. I had to ask for salt and that did not help. We also had the halibut piccata which was good. I really want the food to be amazing - a gluten free restaurant is needed - but it’s so expensive for ok food.

What a nice find- good ambiance, excellent drink menu, have been there three times and had Chicken twice and filet- good. Service was always awesome

We have been here several times. My husband has Celiac and it's so wonderful to come to a restaurant that has no gluten so he doesn't have to worry about any cross-contamination. The food is spectacular and you would never know the bread is gluten free. The service is very attentive and the price is reasonable for type of food and service you receive. The restaurant is very small but you feel like if you are in a cozy dining room and in spite of the close proximity to other diners, it still feels very intimate.
