Polanco Mexican Modern Steak House is a slightly elevated restaurant that will focus on fine dining touches with a lively atmosphere. Polanco features a prime selected list of steaks seared off and seasoned with an eye towards the ranches and cattle farms of northern Mexico. Bar operated by Miguel Valencia who is the head mixologist listing a cocktail selection based on agave varieties such as Mezcal, Ensambles and a unique selection of Tequilas.

Alex our servers was awsome. And food was really good but service was a little disappointing we reserved a table on patio they didn’t want to sit us there and the host was rude!

No communication regarding closing times. I made reservations to celebrate Father’s Day 1:15 pm we were the only table in the whole restaurant. No bar service, limited menu, no ambiance, as soon as we finished eating they closed the doors. While eating we were able to over heard the conversations between the manager and the server as they polished silverware. Not what I had in mind extremely disappointing specially for a special day.

Overall great experience. Definitely get the steaks and rib-eye chicharrón. The drinks were great. Skip on the fish ceviche. Staff was friendly and provided a great experience. Recommend for celebrations. Will come back!

We weren’t waited on for twenty minutes after being seated. Once this was brought to their attention service was good

The restaurant is inside a hotel, which usually is not a good start, but we thought we would give it a try anyway . It is a relatively small place with large furniture. It has a cool bar, which probably became the redeeming quality as to why it didn’t get a one star or zero star as a total rating on my review. My husband had the lamb steak, which was very tasty but is small portion for a men, and for the price they charge . I had to Seabass, which was also small, but I was OK with that. The problem was that it was very salty along with the roasted cauliflowers next to the Seabass. I found myself drinking my delicious cucumber, mint margarita like it was lemonade …. So I just stopped eating my food. The bartender was nice enough to go back to management and asked for permission to give us 50% discount on the cost of my dish. We didn’t ask for it, but it was nice of him to do that. There seems to be a lot of changes going on at the restaurant so employees did not behave confident over they were doing the information to provide when questions asked.. Not necessarily a restaurant that I would go back to, but perhaps I just happen to go during a transition period.
