Poeta is nestled within The Frances Modern Inn located on historic 11th street, just minutes from downtown.
Locally created and operated by award winning chefs, this neighborhood establishment welcomes everyone to partake in a meal, drinks, or dessert all day with breakfast, lunch or dinner, and enjoy daily happy hour.

Had a great first experience at Poeta when I brought my friend for her birthday. She has Celiac and Poeta is highly rated for Gluten free offerings and preparations. The service was fantastic and they did a great job giving my friend a modified menu. All of the anti-pasti, main courses and dessert were all hits with us. The goat cheese cheesecake was phenomenal and gluten free. I got the milk braised pork which was very flavorful. I really want to go back to try their pasta.

Yum! First time and will definitely be back. Our server knew which wine would pair greatly with the blue crab pasta and the spaghetti. Cute ambience

I was so disappointed in this restaurant. Based on the reviews, I was really looking forward to it. We went on a Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM. We were asked to order all of our dishes upfront so that our server could pace the meal. That seemed like a really great idea. However, There was no pacing. In fact, it seemed like after we placed our orders we didn’t see our server again for about another 30 minutes. Then, our dishes were not paced at all, but came out at the same time. We had a tiny table, so it was very cramped to try and share the dishes. The food itself was adequate, but it was not worth the price. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Noise level was quiet because we were on the patio…inside was noisy The food is really really good but the service makes everything worth it. Will definitely be back

Fans of Intero so wanted to try its sister…exceeded expectations! Our 4-some were all pleased…the freshness and flavor combinations - from the simplicity of the white bean spread to the surprising wagyu panini. Definitely leave room for the cheesecake!

Poeta made my birthday dinner so special!! My boyfriend said the only time he’s eaten better gnocchi was when he had it homemade in Italy. We woke up the next morning still talking about it! The staff was wonderful, and the vibe was the perfect intersection between classy and quaint. Highly recommend for your next date night.
